Hi everyone, I'm sorta new to posting here but we are going to Disney in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on something Disney related that is small and inexpensive to get for the neighbor kids that my little boy is friends with.

Pencils or keychains? I'm not sure how old they are. And this may sound cheap, but sometimes you can buy a pack of pencils/pens at DTD and your ds could give them out seperately.

They have anything you can think of really. Little toys, little stuffed characters, candy, magnets...I believe there is a store in DTD that everything is under $10. How old is the boy?

When we go to Disneyland, I have always bought those little towels/ washclothes that expand when placed in water. They have them available with lots of the different characters and kids love to put them in water and watch what happens. We brought some home for friends on our last trip and they were a hit and only $4 or so. Plus, you really can use them for washclothes when you get home. I am sure WDW sells something similar as more experienced posters might be able to confirm for you.

We have sent postcards and then followed it up with Disney stickers (we had tons handed to us by CM's), a box of Disney cookies, and a Mickey head sucker. We gift wrapped them with a ribbon in the little bags received after making a small purchase.

how about Disney Pins? or the little Pirates hook, pirates toys... they have tons of stuff that is $7 or less... if you use your Disney Visa at World of disney at DTD you get 10% off. You might have to spend $75? I forget...sorry

We buy Disney stuff at Walmart or Target before our trip. The birthday aisle has multi-packs of Disney party favors for cheap. They make great little kid gifts.

It's amazing how much Disney stuff you can find in the regular stores before you go, and it costs pennies on the dollar compared to the Disney property prices!

Also, try a Walgreens store if you have a rental car. They have lots of great souveniers for cheap. They had the same exact shell necklaces for $2.50 that we seen at Disney for $9.00! Same brand, tag, everything. They have decks of Florida cards for 99 cents, all kinds of cute little trinkets.

If you are driving around you can also go to one of the local flea markets (Florida is full of them). Kids "Florida" tshirts were $3.00 each. I bought 20 for my son's daycare class and bargained the lady down to $2 each! They were great, said "Florida" and had pictures of 101 Dalmations on them.

I also like the multi-packs of pens and pencils. You can split them up and give them out separately. Makes a much less expensive gift if there are many people to give to.

I teach a Sunday School class of 3-4 year olds, :rainbow: and I picked up Disney pencils at the Dollar Tree. Set of 8 pencils 'cars' for the boys and 'princesses' princess: for the girls. 16 souvenirs for $2 you can't beat that! Will probably pick up some Mickey suckers at the Park to add to that.

When I was there last, I used the penny press machines at various locations to make Disney pennies for my students...it was 50 cents (plus the penny).

We just came back and I got a three pack of lollypops the old fashion round pop in lots of colors with a Mickey wrapper. 3.95 for 3 - I gave them to my godson and his two sisters. They go to Disney all the time and LOVED them, as it was a little of Disney brought back from my trip.

We wanted to get our nieces and nephews a present from Disney, but we are on a budget at the moment. We got the girls tiny Mickey sparkle hair clips ($1 each) and our nephews got the Cars magic towels.
They were a great hit!

The last time we went I bought the 3 pack of hot chocolate and split them up for the kids who fed our cat while we were gone. I found them at the huge Disney store in DTD but they were also at our resort gift shop. The hot chocolate came in cute tins with Disney characters on them and the powder was coloured so the hot chocolate was red, green etc. I also bought little tins of hard candy for them. They were inexpensive and I found them at Goofy's Candy place in DTD. Another fun souvenir that my daughter got for her friends were the rubbery bracelets. They were multicoloured and had Mickey heads imprinted on them. The kids loved them.
If your neighbours are going to DW soon maybe you could give the kids some Disney dollars. I bought some when we were there and my DD gets them for special occasions throughout the year (stuffed them in Easter eggs, Christmas stocking). We are going again in August so she has a good stash of spending money. :thumbsup2

Thanks to everyone for your great replies! my son is 5 and the kids he plays with range from 5-10 years old.

What my DD did - In EPCOT from the monorail/bus entrance side - stay to your left - there is a store sort of under an over pass.

Inside there are 5 Mickey head lollipops all on their own long stick bunched together all for $2.99 (I think). We bought 2 bunches. Very easy to pack - nice and small.
She also added to each of her friends gifts the Mickey shampoo and hand cream from the resort. Call Housekeeping if you need more :)

We had plenty of "snack" credits left from the dining plan. We used them for Mickey Ears Rice Krispe treats to give to friends and family. Most CS locations have them.

The Disneyshopping.com site has great deals. I have purchased a Grumpy hat for my Dad (upon his previous request for one) for $7.99 and a few shirts - for as little as $3.99 and kid's p.j.s for as little as $4.99 - and they had (not sure if still available) Disney character flip flops for $2.99! I know it might be cheating to buy this way - outside of the parks - but it allows us to buy nicer gifts than what we might be able to afford otherwise. Oh, and if you purchase a certain amount - $50 sometimes or $75, etc., the shipping is free... and there is no tax with these online purchases. With a Disney Visa there are usually specials, too. Mousesavers has a coupon for a percentage off right now, also. Good luck.

We just got back a couple of weeks ago, and bought my three neices these really cute purple hair tyes that had about ten ribbons attached and at the end of each was a shiny mickey. They loved them!!!! We bought them at Caribbean Beach resort gift shop for $4.00 each!

In the resort they always have the Mickey shampoo and soap bars... I take them and then buy a DW washcloth and wrap them together and tied a Mickey lollipop around it... very cute gift that hardly cost anything.
