Help! I have on my wonderful new Crocs. They are perfect... if I'm only standing. When I walk, my foot slides to the front and my toes bump the end. They are the Cayman style. :listen:
I want these shoes to work. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem.
I do have some suggestions.

Does the Cayman model have the back strap, like the beach model?
I took this strap, and moved it to the front. It keeps my foot from sliding as far forward.

Idea 2:
This idea is good for shoes that are wide, when one wants the extra room in the toes, but does not want the foot sliding around too much.
Take an elastic bandage, and wrap in around the center part of your foot (don't use the whole bandage, only what you need).
This causes the shoe to grip tighter in the center area of the foot.
It also helps keep that one foot muscle (the one that gets sore if wearing clogs and not used to them) from working as hard.
It might also work to cut the toe out of some socks, making the socks thicker around the center of the foot.
This idea assumes that one wears socks with the shoe (as I do).

Personally, I find that Crocs are perfect shoes for standing around.
The verdict is still out, on their usefulness as a walking shoe, at least for my foot.

As the shoe begins to mold to your foot, the sliding should stop. They will eventually form to where you foot fits perfect in the shoe. I used mine walking all day in gatlinburg and pigeon forge and didn't have any problem, they were perfect for walking. After the first day, almost everyone in my party went to jigglin george's shoe store and bought them a pair!

Strange things going on with mine also. On 4/4 I ordered a pair of Caymans and a pair of Beach. After waiting and waiting, and not receiving them I happened upon CROCS at a store in the mall. I went ahead and picked up a pair of black beach style size small. I fell in love with how it felt. This shoe has made in china stamped on the botton, and the word CROCS is on the adjustable strap. These were very big on me and pretty wide. ( I liked because I have Fred Flintstone feet). I had been wearing them for a week and loving them. Making me even more excited to get my purple Caymens and my Navy beach. I received them yesterday.......I ordered a small Navy beach, this one says made in Canada on the bottom, no CROCS stamped on the adjustabel strap and they are much narrower and even not as long as my black beach size small that I bought in the mall. Then my purple Caymans say made in Italy on the bottom. They do have CROCs stamped on the strap. I was worreid that these were going to be way to big on me, since the ones I bought locally were small and so big. These size 8 caymans were near as big on my as my size small beach.......weird huh? I am not sure if I am going to keep the Navy Beach as they are so much more narrow than the exact same shoe in a different color that I bought in touwn. Any ideas?
Also, has anyone noticed that their feet are getting dirty? My feet are pretty dirty when I take them off at the end of the day

The sizing on these shoes is crazy. I have 4 pair of beaches allmade in Canada and they all fit differently. The crocs label on theside fell off of 2 of my pair within minutes of wearing but I emailed the company and even though I did not buy directly from www.crocs.com they sent me out a whole bunch of the label/rivits. Very nice.

Also. Yes my feet are sooo dirty after wearing these. Especially in the back yard. Thoses holes on the bottom are the culprit. I have however worn then to WDW and they are great!

dmslush. Just have to mention that my grandmother and aunt were born in McMinnville. nice town.

I have Red Caymans made in Canada with "Crocs" on the back strap. I agree to push the strap forward and walk around in them to let them conform to your foot. I found my foot naturally rested towards the back of the shoe and avoided the toe-touch thing. Now they fit great.

I but the strap back to get used to them that way as well. I don't want them flipping off when I'm at Disney. I can do a Crocs report when I get back.

As for the buttons. I only ever received one. It was like a flat rubber "button" stuck on the side. Fell off instantly and was on the outside of the right show. Not sure if you're only supposed to get one?

I did just email Crocs to see if I could get some replacements. I know I won't receive them until after my trip but that's okay. People are starting to notice my umm weird shoes. :rotfl:

Boy, it is a small world isn't it! I have always lived here!

Flipping my strap to the front of the shoes really keeps my feet from slidding forward. Good tip.
My Caymans have "MADE IN USA" stamped on the bottom. The outside of the strap has a black and white Croc button holding the strap on.
Sounds like everbody's Crocs are different. These shoes are wildly popular. I can't believe they are so inconsistent.
I weighed mine and one shoe weighs 5 ounces. FYI

I like wearing the strap in the back, especially at first while the shoe is molding to my foot. If your foot is too far forward when the strap is around the back of your foot, stretch the strap so it fits. The shoe salesman did this for me.

B/c they ARE so popular the manufacture had to look for alternate sources to make more, hence China and Italy in addition to US and Canada. I have a feeling the type of material makes them very inconsistent and also each mould in each area is most likely a little different but the type of material also makes them conformable to almost any foot

dzneeprincess your observations are interesting, I tried on a medium and large in a sporting goods store, med too small and large too big. I went ahead and ordered medium on Zappos, they fit fine. My toes also hit the front, I'm hoping the molding will work. They are really comfortable otherwise.

I am still lovng my CROCS but are they ever going to stop squeaking????? I wear them with no socks and they squeak squeak squeak. Makes me feel like the lady from the Poltergiest movie!!!! I am already short and fat, not I got the squeaking shoes!

Kallison, strange huh?

I went to an outfitter store this morning and tried on CROCS. I tried on an 8 womans. I tried on a light blue womans.

They felt comfy but they sort of had a "thats it?" factor. They reminded me of jellies shoes from back in the 80's. It was sort of a letdown after looking at them online.

I came home emptyhanded.

I just bought a pair today :) Greenish Caymans (I think). I wanted pink ones, but the M was too snug, and the L were too big, but the green L were perfect :flower:

I just bought my first pair (black Beach) yesterday. We were driving by a bicycle shop and I saw that they advertised Crocs. I told DH that I wanted to check them out. I was afraid that they wouldn't have any big enough, as I wear a 10 1/2 - 11 in women's shoes, but I tried on the XL and they fit perfectly. They even had larger shoes to choose from. I love all the room. I think I'll go back and buy a pair of the Niles for this summer.
