Small Contracts w/ Disney

We own a couple small contracts and are looking to add more points since our family is growing and we need more. We bought resale in the past but considering purchasing through Disney since the costs can be somewhat close with small contracts and we have more controll on where and when. I have a couple of questions about the process with Disney. What other costs are included in the purchase price? (50 points at BLT @ $115.00 total price $5,750.00) Finally I know they will finance the large contracts but how about 50 - 100 point add ons? If so do they finance like the larger contract with down payment ranges of half or more? Thanks.

You can finance with 50 points and over. Down payment is at least 10%, or more depending on credit status, of the non discounted price (120/point), so 600 dollars. The discount goes on the rest of the balance, which is 5400 minus 250 (5x 50) equals 5150 to finance. You do not pay closing cost.

closing costs are included in direct add-ons (i.e. closing costs are zero). so just take their price per pt and multiply by the number of pts to get the total cost.

you can add-on as few as 25 pts for cash. i have a 40 pt contract myself. if you wanted to add-on a 31 point contract, they will do it. but under 50 pts, you'd have to pay cash - no financing.

for 50 pts or more, yes, you can finance direct add-ons through DVC.

not sure about down payment details. sorry.

just FYI: for BLT, purchasing direct is probably the best bet (and purchasing 50 pts or more should result in some small level of incentives) but for some resorts - like SSR - you'd still be better off paying closing costs and buying a resale.
