OK, let's say this list is only for us folks owning LESS than the 150 point minimum for a traditional purchase thru DVD. I'm talking Total Points Owned... Needless to say, I suspect we all bought thru resale.

I suspect we may be the smallest, but welcome someone to prove me wrong.

arcruiser = 30 points @ SSR

....and I'd imagine the 50 to 99 point tally to be the greatest, but am just curious.... so please vote!

If there is already a list like this, I apologize.
I have seen the list of large points owners, but not a list of us "little guys".

I purchased a little tiny 25 pointer with intentions of adding on bit by bit......well, that ideal lasted 2 or 3 days until we bought SSR via Disney :teeth:

We own 100 pts. at HH bought through Disney. We originally bought points at VWL then the HH points and sold the VWL points.

I have 100 points at OKW. I got them in 2001. I have been very happy with my purchase and don't feel I need more points at this point.

We spend 104 pts/year to stay in a one bedroom at BW for Sun-Thurs each January. One year we went to Disneyland and only used 40 pts so we have some banked to cover the extra 4 we need per year.

We usually spend weekend nights at Universal so we can get front of line access.

I own 60 OKW points. Has worked out great for me. I've even had points to rent a couple of times.

I am looking to buy between 50-100 points, so I too will be one of the 'little guys'.
I probaby only need 50 points to get 5 days in a OKW or BWV studio mid week...and like someone said above, it's better to stay at Universal on the weekends and get a front of the line entry with hotel purchase anyway!

The only hitch so far has been the releatively high closing costs ..pretty much the same cost for 50 as 150.

But I'll probably be joining the ranks soon, so I'll read your thread for new info!!!

100 Pts at BWV. Too soon to tell how many points we really want yet.
I've often thought that 150 was tempting (its just the two of us... we
are trying a studio for next week... after having a 1 bedroom last
summer).

We borrowed some points last year and yet banked some this year!?!?
I want to try HHI and see how we like that. We did a quick trip to VB
liked it "okay." Having an off-disney site that we *love* might convince
us to buy more points. We certainly love the flexibility of DVC :)

100 Points at OKW

Haven't gone "home" yet, but it's just the two of us, and 100 points pretty much gets us three vacations in a studio a year (about 4-5 days (3-4 nights) each).

Even though we just purchased about a month ago, seeing what the current prices are going for, I'm kind of thinking I should've bought more! Maybe if a smaller SSR contract comes up, for the extra 12 years. (Add-on fever, and we didn't even GO yet!)

Our origianl purchase was 313 at SSR and then we added on 50 at BW.

I own 82 points at OKW. However, I am now looking for a small add-on (~50 points). If successful I will join the century club.

Glad to see others who make good use of small point allotments.

I actually haven't gone home yet but I plan to add on 75 more points next year. I wanted two seperate contracts that I could pay cash for and then hand down to my 2 children oneday.

Here is plan for near future using my 75 points:

Bought in summer of 2004. Banked all 2004 points into 2005 account.
March 2005 spring break trip (Studio ~ Sun-Sat: 82 points)
June 2005 Summer trip (Studio ~ Sun-Sat: 74 points (rented 6 points)

That leaves me at a zero point balance (nothing banked or borrowed going into my 2006 use year.
Thinking about a Sun-thurs trip for spring break in a 2 bedroom (150 points ~ all of 2006 and borrow 2007 points)

Hopefully by 2006 summer I'll have another 75 point contract bought.

I guess I should have updated this a while back.... we added 50 points thru DVC directly for a new total of 80.

Last Oct. we stayed at BWV in a Standard View 1BR, and this Dec. we go to SSR in a 1BR.

We have 100 points at WLV.

Everytime there is a new incentive, I have to fight the urge to do an add on. If they ever build a Contemporary Resort Villas, I know my will power will not be strong enough to fight the add-on-itis.

I didn't vote, but I'll share our experience.

We started with a 100 SSR points resale, but within a few months added another 120 SSR points (2 - 60 point contracts through Disney F & F Promo). I've decided DVC is very addictive. ;)

Just purchased!! I mailed the contract and full payment to the Timeshare store last week. I wanted a small contract that I could afford to pay cash for. I'm not even in Disney's system yet and I can't wait to add on. I'm hoping for a monorail DVC resort. Villas at the Polynesian would be great!!

We bought in with 4 family members, and we each have 55 pts. to use per year (OKW). This gave us 5 nights in a studio each summer, which we did for several years. I have added on 55 at VWL, giving me 110 to use each year (so now we can stay in a one-bedroom). We didn't take a trip last year, so with banking and borrowing, we will use 222 this year for a one week trip (splurging on a weekend). If you're creative you can do plenty with small contracts. I love the flexibility of the system!

We are in the process of purchasing 100 points at BCV and hoping to add on in the next couple of years.

Our initial resale contract (thanks TSS!) was 58 pts @ VWL...few points short of a studio stay for 5 days each year.

Added on BWV thru DVC, enough to stay in a studio, prime time, once every 2 years.

Impatiently waiting for next, best thing...hoping for CR but, I'd settle for any monorail resort...perhaps even AK?

We've paid cash each time we bought & would like to continue doing so.

Do hope that transfers of points remain part of the system, at least until we compliment our DVC "portfolio".

Like the idea of having small contracts you can sell off if necessary & for the 11 month booking advantage.
