What rides (if any) ban bags entirely?

And what size is the cut-off where they are allowed?

I can choose between bringing a normal-size backpack, or a smaller waist pack (a.k.a. lumbar pack, a 632-cubic inch Mountainsmith Blaze II) to bring in to the parks each day. I will bring the smaller one if I can get it on the rides, but the larger one if it's got to stay in our stroller. I am happy to be the beast of burden: I want to protect the camera and some other items.

Thanks for any advice!

I'm not aware of any that you can't bring a normal backpack onto. I haven't ridden 7Dwarves whatever you call it but I have seen pictures of the leg room that may be an issue space wise.

Unlike Universal, WDW allows you to bring your park bag on the rides. You just put in the pocket provided (on some rides), hold it on your lap, or in the case of larger bags like a day backpack, put it at your feet and secure it by putting a foot through the strap.

Not sure of the size of backpack you are referring to. I wouldn't bring a large framed camping pack, for instance. But a day pack works really well.
