New at writing a trip report so please excuse any mistakes. It is just me (Kim) and DH (Ryan). We haven’t been blessed with children yet. We were planning our May 2002 trip when a postcard arrived in the mail with Donald Duck saying “ Wish You Were Here” We were easy and made reservations that evening. Postcard was for YC/BC but we had no preference which was good because we got BC.

Day 1- June 21st
We woke up at 4AM for a 7AM flight. Morning went well. Flight was on time. It was a direct flight on Sun Country. We arrived at MCO around 10:30AM. Tiffany Towncar was there waiting for us. Our driver( I forgot his name and don’t have his business card available to me at the moment) was nice. Not very talkative, but that suits me just fine. I am not good at small talk. We booked a limo. It was nice. My DH liked the fact that everyone was looking at us. Those poor souls waiting for the buses. I will never do that. Anyway. The limo had a TV/VCR and they had VH1 Divas playing. It had a bar and a refrigerator. We each had a can of Pepsi. It was nice having the extra room to stretch out .

Arrived at the Beach Club. Pulling in to be dropped off we were both looking at each other thinking “this is it??” The construction was a bit of a turn off. Walked into the lobby. Things are looking up. Very nice. Pretty Flower arrangements sitting around. The time now is about 11:30am. The lobby was full of activity. People walking around, some in bathing suits and sandals. Only had a brief wait to check in. Just had 1 family ahead of us to check in.

A room was ready. Room 2565. This is where the BC got impressive for us. The room was back in a corner. The room had a slight entrance hallway where the closet was located. We had a King bed with end tables on both sides, a amoire where the tv and minibar were located. A table and 2 chairs and a daybed. A dresser. Alot of drawer space it seemed. Then we checked out the balcony. IT WAS HUGE!!!! Upon inspection, it was not only a full balcony, but a double balcony. DH joked he could do a morning jog out there. It had in the first half a table and 2 chairs and the 2nd half had 2 chairs. Very big balcony!!!

Couldn’t admire the room long. We are at Disney and we are commando type tourists. Had to get busy. Off to Epcot. We were pleasantly suprised about the wait for the attractions we did do. None were more than 5 minutes( Universe of Energy, Body Wars, Spaceship Earth, to name a few) Test Track broke down and we didn’t get to ride it. Did the Blast Dinner package. That is a wonderful show. On th way after Blast to eat dinner at the Beirgarten the weather turned bad. It looked like a tornado was trying to form. Are those called funnel clouds? Any way it never got any strength to it but everyone was looking at the sky. It started to rain as we got to the restaraunt. Good Food, Great Entertainment, just a nice time. One hint though. If the show is going, don’t bother trying to have a conversation. To Loud. By the time we left Biergarten the rain was done. Perfect timing for us. Not even got a drop of rain.

Decided to beat the crowd out and skipped Illuminations. Even though I was beat, DH wanted to check out more of the hotel. It was nice walking around at night. The noise and the view of the Boardwalk made a nice atmosphere. We swung by Beaches and Cream and got some ice cream. I got mint chocolate chip and Ryan got a Mickey Mouse Sundae. I wish I would have taken a picture. It was cute. They made it look like a mouse, with Oreo's for ears and a cherry stem for a tail. Very cute. Finally turned in for the day.

too......Funnel clouds aren't to cool......we had a few touch down when we were there a few years ago.....we didn't see it....but we heard about it........thanks for the report
