How many computers do you have in your home?


We have our main computer downstairs (in DH's office), and we have our laptop on the kitchen table (this is where I do all my DISing from ). So a total of 2

We have 2. One in our office and my husband has a laptop from his work.

We have an embarassing amount of computers right now. In our defense, DH is a computer guy so he has several for work. I'm guessing two but it's probably more.

I have a laptop at home and a laptop at work. DD has a laptop. We have an old desktop that doesn't work well and we're going to get rid of. I counted 5 at home--I try not to bring my work laptop home unless I absolutely have to.

We have three. One desk top down stairs, community computer. DH has a lap top and my work gives me a lap top too. We use the lap tops all the time. The desk top is more for...hmmm what do we use that one for?

I chose 3; it's really only 2, but DH has a laptop for work that he brings home with him, so in the evenings it's usually me on the "main" computer, the boys on their computer, and DH using his laptop on the dining room table.

Maybe you should add to the poll: how many "old" computers do you have sitting around the house? You know, buy a new computer, but hang on to the old one because you haven't had time to wipe out the hard drive, etc., etc. We have at least 3 old computers, maybe 4.

I think I counted 8. 5 of which we have hooked up and are running at any given point. Usually three minimum are one (one is a file server)

I just got a new Dell yesterday, but I can't part with my old Gateway. I'm very attached to it. So I have two.

I answered 2, since that's what we have up and running, but if you want to include the ones that came before that we still have around the house, it's more like 12-15 (going back as a far as a Commodore 64, an Amiga500, a PC with a 386 processor and a 420k hard drive, etc...)

I answered 5 but didn't include the 2 severs so we have 7. We have 3 laptops (one each from work plus one of our own), 2 PC's in the office, one is for regular work, the other is just used by DH for his music and has a synthesiser hooked up to it.
I just use my laptop though, DH uses the others, but he is into ICT.

Just one. I may get a second one somehwere down the road just for my music programs, but I'm in no real hurry.

Have only 1, a desk top. We have 4 people in the family, 2 of them are 9 yr old twins. DS loves to play his computer CD rom games, so he kicks me off hte computer,esp during summer vacation .

Kinda wished DH could bring home a laptop from his work. There is an unused laptop his ex-boss had used that is still at the office, either collecting dust or in storage. I tell DH to borrow that for work from home, but he would have to talk to the company president about that .

I chose 3 but we really have 5. 2 of them don't work and are in pieces in the garage.

We have 3 people. DS has a PC, I have a Mac and DH has his laptop for work.

I counted six in operation, but I'm a computer guy. Okay, I used to be a computer guy, but you never really totally lose it. Two in the family room: e-mail/finance and entertainment (DVR, DVD, etc.). Two in the basement: kids machine and my video processing machine. Laptop that I use for home and work. Desktop for DD9 that we built as a project when she turned 8.

I have a couple of old 386s in the basement that are not really operating but could, and I have spare parts that I am beginning to collect for my DD6.5's computer build project when she turns 8.

We have 3 working computers: mine, DH's and DH's laptop. Soon we'll have 4 since he'll be getting a laptop from his company. We also have 1 non-working computer that DH wants to set up as a server computer. It's like a computer graveyard at our house!

I technically have two my old laptop which I haven't used in a long time since it is so old and then my current laptop.
