:lovestruc I love them, love, love, love them!! During my childhood they were a special treat only available at Christmas and were imported from Japan in little wooden crates and each orange was pristinely wrapped in red tissue paper. The smell alone is evocative of so many good memories! :goodvibes

Now they are available most of the year from China and the quality isn’t the same. I have taken to buying US mandarins/clementines instead but still mostly only do so in the winter.
I agree this year was extra bad for them. Very dry ended up throwing a lot away.

They were always a Christmas thing when I was small.

I like them. I usually stock up on canned for Hurricane season, but also like the fresh ones.

I love oranges of any kind, but my Gastritis does not so they're a no-go for me. Too acidic.

Cuties are mandarin oranges? Around here they’re known as clementines. Which are closely related to tangerines (what I always called them as a kid). The only thing I know as mandarins are the canned variety. :confused3

Ok, so I had to look this up, and apparently clementines and tangerines are both types of mandarins. All good. :thumbsup2

I haven’t had good luck buying them for a couple of years.
Most have been dry, tasteless and hard to peel.

I love that I can get them year round. I am now waiting for white peaches and nectarines to be in season--my favorites.

I love them. I have the worst luck picking regular oranges, they ways seem dry and gross. Cuties always seem to be just right. Yum. My brother had a tree at his old house and they were just perfect, so juicy and the skin just peeled right off.

I voted "like them", if they are a particularly good batch I love them. Maybe I am weird but it just seems that the quality is somewhat inconsistent with Halos. I think generally Cuties are better.

I like them, but as someone mentioned, they seem to go bad quickly and I end up having to thrown several away. I wish they were sold in smaller bags and weren't so expensive.
