My favorites are the lighted Christmas parades and the lighted boat parades.

As a Girl Scout I was in a few 4th of July parades, as well as Memorial Day parades.

My community does not do a 4th of July parade, though I have lived in communities previously that do them.

We host a large annual festival in the spring and there is a parade as part of that. We go every year; sometimes DD has been in it.

I remember marching in parades with Girls Scouts and 4-H as a kid.

Where I grew up there was a local July 4th parade, and we went every year. Then we moved to Florida, and haven’t found a local parade anywhere we have lived here. I would guess it’s because of the heat, because I live in a moderately sized town, the type of place you would expect to have a parade, but they don’t.

I've been in parades as a kid but haven't been in or to a local parade in years. Don't like the crowds and it's SO hot right now.
