Everyone loves looking at their Christmas Tree when the lights are on - so beautiful . I can honestly say that not everyone’s Christmas Tree is my taste, but I still love looking at it. Every Christmas Tree is beautiful in its own way. It’s a wonderful reflection of the person/people that decorated it

Is your Christmas Tree on a timer?
If yes….when does it turn on?

For Me……All 4 Christmas trees are on timers. The living room and family room trees turn on right before I wake up in the morning (5am-8am) and then again at night (4:30pm-10:30pm). DD20s tree in her bedroom and a small fiber optic tree in the hallway (it was my grandma’s) turns on at night (4:30pm-10:30pm). I’m a big lover of timers and I use them for other Christmas decorations and also around the house all year.

Our tree is the only thing NOT on a timer. MY DH has five timers for all the outside lights!

All of our Christmas stuff is on a timer. Got them set up with those Alexa smart plugs. I set up "routines" where it comes on at 4:30 PM and turns off at Midnight. I also have them come back on at 4:55 AM and turn off at 7:00 AM.

Our tree isn't on a timer. My Godson is the timer-when he comes out into the living room in the morning to get ready for school, the tree lights have to go on.

Honestly I never thought of using a timer. It’s a good idea. We still need to get the tree up. I’m still sick after traveling for Thanksgiving. Hopefully by the weekend I’ll be up to it. This has been kicking my butt! I love seeing lights and decorations.

I've had my tree on a smart plug for the last 5 years. It and all of the Christmas lights are set to go on at 4pm and off at 10pm.

The outlets in our living room are wired so that the wall switch turns on half of the outlet. So, when we turn on the living room lights anything plugs into that side of the outlet will turn on. It can be very convenient for turning on the Christmas tree lights.

No timer, just a remote to switch it on/off. Same with the outside lights. Never leave them on when we’re not home. We get a live tree and will be putting it up this weekend.

The Christmas Tree is on a timer schedule - it switches on in the morning at 6:30A (when its still dark in the morning) and switches off when we tell Alexa to turn off all our bed time lights. Its nice to see it on every morning and its a nice touch to see it on during the day.

We have two trees and both are on timers. They go on around 6 AM and off around 9 AM and then go in again around 5:30 and off around midnight. My DH set them up. I would have it go on a bit earlier in the late afternoon. It’s already getting dark around 4:30.

I just have a tiny tree in my office and I use battery powered lights on it. I just turn them off when I leave at night. I work in D.C. and stay in one of my timeshares while I am up here working. Back home in PA there is no need for a tree, since no one is there. There is a large tree in the lobby of the timeshare I usually stay in.

Inside tree is on a remote. Outside lights are on light sensor, on at dusk, off 8 hours later, usually around midnight.

Outside lights are on a timer, but the inside tree's lights are on a push-button that is raised on a table near the tree, so it's easy to click on and off.

Tree is not on a timer. I just push the button when I want it one and then again when I go to bed to turn it off.

All the things are on smart plugs. I have them staggered to come on between 4-4:30pm and off between 10-10:30pm. This year I also got fairy lights and LED tea lights with remote/timers to light up various things that don’t have easily accessible power. They work pretty well except for one strand that reacts to my TV remote and randomly turns on and changes color depending on the volume of my TV.

Before smart plugs I used the manual dial wall plugs or as someone else mentioned the plug/switch if accessible.

My yard display is on a series of plug tower stakes with built in timers, but never the interior trees. The only interior decor on timers are a couple of battery-operated lit garland runners on my dining room table…and those are built in. I've seen too many stories about house fires tied to interior trees to trust them on a timer. A friend lost her house and pets a couple of years ago to a tree fire.

Our trees are manually turned on when we're home and off when we go out or to bed. Three out of four are at least on a remote plug system, so I can just hit an on/off button when in range vs. manually plugging and unplugging. The fresh tree is on its own. They are always the most unstable and most likely to tip, which can cause a wide array of issues... including some electrical concerns. So, I don't like to include them on the remote circuit.
