Love roasted Brussel sprouts, probably my kids’ favorite vegetable. Olive oil, salt, pepper, maybe fresh garlic, balsamic glaze….

I love them, but FRESH only. I roast them or pan fry with garlic -- I need to try @Scotgirl's recipe.

I've also shredded them in a food processor and made a salad of sorts. Tasty!

Growing up, we'd have them from frozen. Gag. 🤮

We have them at every holiday by demand. Roasted til slightly charred with a maple glaze-omg sooooo good. People who say “I
hate Brussel sprouts!” Love them this way. Also I pick very small ones because the bigger they are, the more bitter they are

We eat them regularly. Love them. I clean them, slice them in half, toss in avocado oil and kinders seasoning and cook in the air fryer. To make them even better, drizzle with some melted butter and a little red wine vinegar.

The best brussel sprouts I have ever had came from Old Florida Fish House in 30A and the BBQ quick service at downtown Disney.

Truth be told, I also never had them prepared in a way that would probably make them good. I love my mom, but she isn’t the most adventures cook, so most of her stuff is very plain and boring. Maybe if I had Brussels Sprouts prepared a really good way, I would possibly enjoy them.
It's funny that you mentioned this in this way.

My Gramma cooked fish for my grandfather. She didn't like fish and didn't know how to prepare it. Her house would smell like fish for days after she made it. My Mom grew up hating fish, as did I... until I tasted it made properly... and not overcooked.

I love and make fish all the time. Mom would still have Arthur Treacher's for Christmas Eve because it was the only fish she liked.

My Mom made brussels sprouts by boiling them with no salt. Not a good method of preparation. I hated them, too when I was growing up. Now my family asks for me to buy and make them. I do them all sorts of ways, even in a cold salad by peeling the leaves off and preparing them as a salad. So many yummy ways to prepare these!

100% this! Preparation is everything with brussels sprouts, the balsamic glaze, roasted, they are delicious and taste completely different from the boiled or steam method, which is horrible. I don't eat them often but if properly prepared sprouts are on the menu, I'm in.

Also a shiny gold star for Sandy for correctly spelling brussels sprouts. I never knew about the third 's' until a couple of years ago.

Slo, you forget EWWWWWWWWWWWWW as a choice.

My DH loves them. I don't even like the smell of them cooking.
Yup can’t stand the smell of them either 🤮 no matter how you fix them and DD would alway fix them with her fish. Talk about stinking up the house !!! Ugh

I love them! But only roasted with olive oil, kosher salt, and a little bit of fresh cracked pepper. I do not care for any accompaniment of drizzles or bacon. Let the Brussels Sprouts talk for themselves! (but that is how I am with all vegetables, don't like sauces with them want them solo)

Even my picky wife and kids will eat brussels sprouts. My son and daughter have introduced some different preparation methods into our house, roasting them, or sauteing them in Worcestershire sauce. I often just heat them in the microwave with butter.
As my large midsection shows, not much I don't like. Just black licorice and kale.

Brussels Sprouts look like miniature cabbages and are packed full of health benefits. Some people love this, and for others they hate them. Where do you fit into this - enquiring minds want to know…..

What is your opinion of Brussel Sprouts?

For Me……I’m in the hate them group. I’m not supposed to eat them now, so it doesn’t matter, but when I could eat them, I hated them. Truth be told, I also never had them prepared in a way that would probably make them good. I love my mom, but she isn’t the most adventures cook, so most of her stuff is very plain and boring. Maybe if I had Brussels Sprouts prepared a really good way, I would possibly enjoy them.

I like them. But then again I like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage…. so no surprise there I guess.

We had them occasionally growing up. I remember them being in little round waxed cartons with cellophane over top and a rubber band keeping it all together.

I have them more frequently as an adult. In fact I just had some a few days ago. I usually have them steamed. Not too many years ago I started having them roasted and they were very good too.

I don’t like them… I’m not sure I’ve had them often enough to “hate them.” Maybe someone could prepare them so I like them but I haven’t found that way yet.

My husband found an air fryer recipe which he thinks is amazing. Those were edible but I wouldn’t say I enjoyed them.

Once upon a time, people assigned vegetables to a watery grave. Once oven and pan roasting was rediscovered life was better for the veggies and the people who eat them.

Place on sheet pan, sprinkle olive oil, salt and pepper on them and roast in a high heat oven (400-450 degrees) for about 25 minutes. That’s just off the top of my head. Go to Food Network’s website for more details.
