airjay75---$120-$19388-150-CCV@WL-Oct-0/24, 99/25, 26/26, 150/27- sent 2/20

The 99 points in 2025 are a bit wonky - 98 borrowed, 1 in holding. Only reimbursing seller for dues on the 26 points in 2026 year. Very happy about this. CCV GV for Thanksgiving 2027, here I come!
Big Congrats!!

We're new and waiting to hear on ROFR above and direct to close still, so still learning. What is the scenario that might have led to this wonkiness? If it's unusual, then no big deal. But if it's some strategy we need to know, I'd appreciate a primer!

I know you asked airjay. But I am unclear what you are asking.

To add to @VGCgroupie's thoughts, the borrowed points are very easy to explain - they borrowed to make a reservation, then cancelled, and those points can't be unborrowed. Getting a single point in holding probably resulted from a reservation modification of some sort less than 31 days out. Could have been a waitlist that came through for a room that took 1 point less or just a modification or cancel/rebook of an existing reservation that resulted in 1 less point.

I think, any way you cut it, this was probably someone who had not been planning into a sale of their contract - if they had, I don't think this is how you'd want to put it up for sale. But, it did help me get a pretty good deal :-).

Thanks y'all, helpful to think about the scenarios for managing points.
