I love them, and I’m not a big French fry person, or processed food eater. I always have a bag in the freezer for a last minute side, I dip them in sriracha Mayo.
Now with the air fryer, I prefer to just cook and eat potatoes. Far cheaper and nothing extra added (I am just assuming there is preservatives and such added to prepackaged tater tots.)
Ha Ha, I thought you were giving us a recipe for how to make the actual tots, lol. I mean that sounds like way too much work when they are readily available frozen. I know some people who actually enjoy making homemade ravioli too but I buy them frozen or in the refrigerated section.
I like them but haven’t had them for many years now. They were a more common item to have around when the kids were young. And maybe after the Neapolitan Dynamite movie came out!
I like them because they are so versatile. Have family in and want to make breakfast? Tots are a good substitute for hash browns. They are a good side for sandwiches instead of chips. You can make casseroles with them. While my favorite frozen potato is the steak fry, tots would come in second.
I buy them when they are on sale and try to keep a bag in the freezer.
Love them but almost never eat them at home. They are one of my go to Sheetz orders though as a platter with ranch dressing, bacon, caramelized onions, black olives and Parmesan cheese.
