How good are you at mailing greeting cards for any occasion?

For Me…..Terrible - absolutely terrible🥺
One of my New Years resolutions every year is to be better at this and every year I fail miserably.
My MIL is the best at this - greeting cards for everyone, for everything.

*Inspiration for today’s poll is me realizing it’s my best friend of 48 years birthday today and I forgot to buy a card. She doesn’t send me a card either, but that’s not why I didn’t buy one - I just don’t think of it until the day the recipient should be receiving it :headache:

I am good at it so far as being on time, but I don’t send as many physical cards any more.

As to the issue of forgetting, email, phone calls and e-cards are good last minute substitutes!

I don’t like receiving greeting cards and I don’t send any. I still get some for my birthday and Christmas but most of my family knows not to bother.

We rarely send cards. Most of the people I give a card and other things to on birthdays and holidays are DH and DM and hand it right to them.

I always remember too late. Occasionally I'm on time. I have reminders and write stuff down. I don't know why I can't get my act together.

p.s. Where is the Cinco de Mayo poll?! Did we change course after St. Patrick's Day? hehehe

I am having burritos for dinner. ;)

OMG….to funny!! :rotfl:
I totally spaced off the fact that it’s Cinco de Mayo. My brain was to clouded from me kicking myself for forgetting to send this birthday card.

I'm good at it but I don't send out hardly any. Not like I used to.
No one to send to.

I’m ok at it. I’m sending less and less as time goes by. Besides my mom, siblings and niece I usually don’t send anymore. Hopefully got my Mother’s Day card out in time.

I used a forever stamp from around 5 Christmases ago to send my primary ballot back yesterday.

I'm horrible with sending cards.

I used to be good at sending out birthday cards to my in laws because they send out to us.

I still send out Christmas cards . I love receiving them but don’t get what I send out but that’s ok. It is just a tradition for me and makes me feel good.

I had a SIL who was great at greeting cards. Her cards were sometimes how we remembered our anniversary.

:o Bad at it; and made worse because I have many “card people” in my life that would really appreciate the gesture. I do make sure to take a nice one with a thoughtful message whenever I attend an event that calls for it. Myself, I couldn’t care less for receiving a card at anytime.

Rarely give them anymore and if I do it's in person. Mostly to my mother and ILs.

Here's a Cinco de Mayo card to all!

It say "Hugs, Enrique" but those two words are my Spanish name.

PS:

Nobody wants to say they are 'awesome' at anything, but I am pretty good at sending/giving cards. I think I inherited that from my mom, always doing cards years ago.

I always buy Hallmark. I have been a platinum member for as long as I can remember. I suppose they have silver and gold levels also? In years past, I visited the local Gold Crown store at least a half dozen times a year as birthdays and holidays came by. Over the past two years, I have used the HM online ordering as I have not wanted to be in the store for long periods looking for those 'perfect' cards, works well. Recipients primarily family, a few local close friends, and a few close friends from here on the dis. I did also have annual subscriptions to Hallmark and American Greeting ecard sites. When Hallmark ended their ecards a few years back, I just use AG online for those now. So yeah, I do like to do greeting cards.

But, NO Hallmark Channel. :happytv:

We have always sent greeting cards for Christmas to close friends and relatives with whom we interact. If you haven't seen/heard from someone in over 5 years, I am not sure of the point of sending them a greeting card. Some people do not send cards and that is there choice, but then we drop them from our card list as well.

I think in the past more people sent cards. But that was also a time when your main way to interact was the telephone. Now more people choose to text/email as a way to keep in touch. Can recall seeing all of the Christmas cards my parents would receive and had NO idea how many of those people were as it was someone they last saw many years ago.
