I never buy the shreds. We do buy a head of iceberg lettuce every week. I just chop it up if we need shreds.

I have never bought pre-shredded lettuce. I buy regular lettuce and cut/tear as needed. I would consider buying it if I was serving a large quantity (like if we had a taco bar at a party or something) but, to date, I haven't.

I only buy them rarely. And only use them on tacos. But I usually just make my own from a head. For those sandwiches that I use lettuce, it's a (piece of) a full leaf.

We only use them in tacos. In sandwiches I like a big clump from a head of iceberg lettuce.

I buy them occasionally for the convenience. We use it in tacos and wraps, sometimes on pizza.

I just buy a whole head of lettuce and shred it myself-if I'm planning a meal that calls for lettuce (like tacos,) I try to plan for side salads or whatever the same week so as to use up the whole head. Not always successful at that.

While I don't buy just the iceburg, I do buy the bagged salads sometimes. I love a big salad for supper sometimes and it's less to buy the bagged then to buy 3 different kinds of lettuce and chop it up myself since it will go bad before I eat it all. I don't put them on sandwiches, if I want lettuce on a sandwich I like to use the whole leaf of iceburg.
