Same here and even in more recent times, DS and his crowd wouldn't have dreamed of doing it past age 13 or so. Maybe it's a regional thing? Personally, I'm totally indifferent to whether or not anybody of any age tricks-or-treats but I do kind of wonder why teens would want to. What kid today is really that hard up for candy?It was totally uncool to go ToT when I was in HS.
I’ll give candy to anyone, even those teens whose “costumes” are their normal everyday sloppy clothes.

Three hours behind you in time but we are very unlikely to get any either; we never do. I keep something on hand for "just in case" but it's always a treat DS & DH will be happy to mow down if nobody claims it.Welp, trick or treat hours here are over in ten minutes. We had exactly *checks notes*...zero kids. Nobody. Good thing I like Hershey bars and Milk Duds.
