Throw a tub of margarine in your truck and take it out ten years later and it’s the same productYes, transfats were banned about 3 years. I think most margarine makers took them out voluntarily before that. So yes, margarine is now healthier than butter.
We use margarine for toast, and on vegetables, unsalted butter for baking.
