Cannot stand cool whip. Tastes like shaving cream.

I have a whipped cream dispenser and make my own for special occasions. My everyday whipped cream is the Land O Lakes brand sold in a 3 pack of cans at Costco. It's actually HEAVY cream and it's nice and thick. It lasts forever in the fridge too. Love it.

I am indifferent to both. I do use cool whip in a trifle dessert I make every year at Christmas. When I make pies I usually buy the stuff in the can. I sometimes use it on my dessert but usually don’t. Everyone else seems to like it.

I love real whipped cream. Haven’t had Cool Whip in decades. The canned variety is fine, but if I’m making a cream pie or ice box cake, I always whip it up fresh. Heavy cream with just a dash of sugar and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Just don’t over whip or it turns to butter.

Whipped cream, preferably homemade but a can works too. If I ordered a Starbucks and they forgot my drink but filled the entire cup with whipped cream I wouldn't complain.

This reminds me of a funny story: In October, my daughter and I went through the Starbucks drive-thru to celebrate that she had turned in all of her college applications. We took our dog with us. Starbucks will give you a "pup cup" (a little cup of whipped cream for your dog) if you ask, so we asked. When we got to the window, the barista said "Now, be honest. Is this really for a dog, or is it for you?" I was confused, but just then our dog poked his head up to the front seat to see what was going on, so the barista could see the dog. He said "Oh... OK." Then he dropped a dog biscuit into the whipped cream and handed it over. He said "The first time I added a biscuit to one of these, I didn't ask and the lady I gave it to was REALLY disappointed. Apparently she just wanted extra whipped cream with her drink." It never occurred to me that people would do that!

Grew up on Cool Whip then got married and she grew up on whipped cream. Thus, I was done with Cool Whip as after $400 a week in groceries, I never had any money to buy the stuff I wanted.

I like both equally, but my daughter has a strong opinion and only likes whipped cream in the can, so that is what I usually buy. I imagine if I ever made fresh whipped cream (which I've never done), she would eat that.
