How many Christmas sweets do you have laying around your house?
An over abundance or not much?
What do you have?
(multiple choice)

For Me…..Ugghhhh sooooo many sweets :woohoo: :earseek:   :goodvibes
I feel happy and unhappy about this.
Happy because I love them, but unhappy because I feel like garbage due to me eating all this stuff - LOL! (I don’t normally eat these items).
We have……
DD18’s apple pie from Christmas Eve
All the Christmas cookies we baked (we did give some away)
Red Velvet Cheesecake me MIL brought on Christmas Day
Polish cookies my in-laws brought on Christmas Day
Brownies I made DD’s BF on Christmas Eve because he doesn’t eat apple pie
Candy we received as gifts
A Christmas jello my mom brought on Christmas Day
A large tin of cookies a patient at my work gave me (this I’m not opening for awhile)

My rule is for everyone to eat as much as they can, because on January 2nd, whatever is left, gets thrown away (except the candy - DD and DH will take this to their works to share with coworkers)

Lots left, but distributed between the 2 kids.
DD took her Christmas cheesecake to her boyfriend's mother's house and left it there.
We have one large container of cookies in the freezer. Half an Eclair cake in the freezer.
We have candy left. I will just pack it up and use it for baking.....lots of M&Ms and kisses that were part of the decorations.
Special candies from our stockings will slowly get eaten by me and disappear fast for DH's share.
Sent all the left over cinnamon rolls, muffins and smoked ribs home with the kids also

I have enough candy to last me to Halloween - sad to say I may not make it and eat it up by Valentine’s Day !!! Seems our theme this year was Choc - which I love but really don’t need to eat in the volume that I was given !! I’m trying to ration really I am but it’s so delicious oh the guilt !!! ❤️😳❤️

Comfortable amount (now that a lot got eaten already). Goodies that I made, stuff my mom sent home with us and a lot from dd’s patients and boss that were gifted to her are here. Oh and I dog sat for a bit yest and my friend left a bunch of stuff for me to bring home. Now that I’m writing all this down it is more than comfortable but not a crazy amount.

Comfortable amount. I only made a dozen of my teacake cookies, only made 2 dozen sugar cookies..and a ton of the dark chocolate cherry biscotti, which I gave as small token gifts to the mail carrier, paper carrier, and trash men. So about 18 of those left. And a few pieces of the cherry cream cheese pie I made for Christmas dessert. Jan 2 we go back to very few sweets in the house!

Too much that’s for sure. I baked a lot of cookies and soon will start freezing some of them oatmeal chip freeze really well.

We got a lot of candy gifted and had some put out the week before Christmas. I told my husband I have been mindlessly eating that and needs to stop.

Got on the scale this morning it wasn’t pretty. I worked so hard to lose over the last 2 years and the last few weeks have been going up . Might have to throw it away I have no willpower .

We were traveling 12/18-12/25 and now I have covid, so no baking was done beforehand, and obviously the "Christmas dinner" we'd planned for the 26th didn't happen. However, there is some candy... A bag of mint m&ms, a bag of mini mint KitKats, a bag of Hershey's miniatures, and the 1lb box of chocolates that I gave DH before we left for the holidays. We'll definitely keep the m&ms and the chocolates, but the small wrapped stuff might go to the chem department for the grad students who are stuck here over the holidays.

We have too much. Even though I did very little baking this year -- just one Christmas cake. People have brought pies, Danishes, cookies, candies.

I guess a lot should just be popped in the freezer so it's not all wasted. But then I always remember what my friend told me: Waste or waist

We have a fair amount, less than usual. With Marie working on COVID recovery, like leebee above {'s) and not visiting my son's get together on Christmas Day as we normally do, we have none of the take home stuff we almost always do have. But certainly enough for us, candy and cookies.

Cookies I have 1 tray left. Made a lot but I give them to everyone. Candy I have a lot left plus niece sent some to us. Cake I have left but we will eat that. Ice Cream never touched but that is ok in the freezer.

Lots and lots - they won't all get eaten. My sister started baking her traditional favourites about mid-December and because she is new in town and knows no one to give them to, they all stayed here. We hosted friends on Christmas Eve and made a dessert buffet with a mince pie, a gingerbread cake, a black-forest trifle, a candy cane cheesecake, a fruit platter and all the cookies and candies. The left-overs were served at our family gathering on Boxing Day. We may nibble on them a little more over the next few days but soon it will have to all be thrown away. We were given 4 boxes of fancy chocolates and cookies that I haven't opened. Those may go to the food bank. :santa:

There's a bunch of stuff here, mostly homemade treats from DW's friends (ironically they are friends from the gym!)
We have (or have had) a tray of homemade cinnamon rolls, homemade peppermint bark, homemade fruitcake*, candied walnuts, gingerbread cookies, peanut brittle, Moose Munch, pffeffernuss cookies, chocolate coated pretzels, homemade fudge, and probably some stuff I'm forgetting. There's also a lot of leftover food from various meals over the past few days.
* First time with the homemade fruitcake. It's not very good, but it's much better than any store-bought stuff I had as a kid.

An over abundance of cookies and candy. Most of it will end up in the trash. DH requested for his birthday a cheesecake slice for each of us. Therefore there won’t be any leftovers we don’t need or waste.

I made a ga-gillion cookies, candy and cinnamon rolls. A lot was given to PD friends and PD family on Christmas Day, as they were working. They ask for my cin rolls every year! 🥰

Last kid leaves today, back to his house in Denver. I’m going to start pitching out all of the sweets that are leftover.

Comfortable - we have a few cookies and a piece of cake left (unless DH has eaten that). We all got some candy in our stockings too, but that is meant to be picked at here and there and last a while.

I still have some of my cherry cordials, they are not at all high end but they remind me of being a kid so I get them every year. I'm the only one who likes them so they tend to last a very long time.
A few oatmeal raisin, the Sallys Baking Addiction ones weren't too sweet so everyone is enjoying a nibble here and there.
A bit of struffoli dough to be fried soon
Candy canes still on the tree
Moose munch from the stockings
The thing I like best about going somewhere else for holidays is no leftovers
