Best / Worst WiFi resorts

I’ve talked my husband into a 10 day trip . But with the promise that he can work a couple days during the day. Are any resorts known for crappy wifi or great wifi?

I’m wanting to stay at Boardwalk but open to other places if it means it will be easier for him to get a good steady connection for meetings.

Amazing. Thank you. Funny enough we were planning on RIV but when we upped it to 10 days we had to change to wanting BW because somehow I don’t have enough points.

I have successfully worked remotely from Disney's Beach Club Villas, Disney's Riviera Resort, and the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Being able to work remotely from WDW is a game changer - I think we’re going to permanently change our week-long August stay to two weeks moving forward. I took off Monday the first week, worked Tuesday - Thursday and then Friday and the following week. Already being at our destination once vacation started really helped!!

BLT is the only one I’ve had issues. If I have to work I avoid that one as it’s almost unusable.

Maybe this is something we can crowd source? Have folks run speed tests from the various resorts and then track them. It would be interesting to see and track over time. With these boards we can probably get baseline data in a week lol

This trip isn’t until April but I’m up for testing it. If it goes well then I can see me talking him into longer trips more often. Would be very helpful for those who want to work. We need to use in the room not the public spaces due to sensitive info in some meetings.

I'm not sure any of them are consistently bad relative to the others. If they were, we'd be hearing a lot more about it, because Disney fans love to complain about any little thing. For example, there used to be posts practically every week about how bad the network speeds at Sheraton Vistana were until they got an upgrade. I'm not even sure I've heard other reports from BLT, but I absolutely believe @davidhr when they way they had bad experiences.

This is true. WDW resort Wi-Fi got much better with the enhancements across property in 2019.

That’s mostly we were worried about, video calls. Email we can use hotspot when needed but it tends to disconnect on video calls.

Yes. Also most of the files I work are cloud based, some very large and had no issues syncing them.

Just a week ago I was a Saratoga and had no issues. Earlier this year had to work a few days at BWV and had a great experience.

For the three days I worked remotely, I was on video conferences the vast majority of the day give or take a few breaks. No issues at all.

BLT was in and out when I tried VPN for work ( I just took it as a sign that I should not check email)

RiV / BW were both fine on my work VPN even for Zoom.

My husband worked remotely including many meetings via video and had no issues while staying at AKL Kidani and SSR

DH worked remotely a bit on our last trip, including a few video calls, from BRV and had no trouble at all! It was a great place for a longer trip!!
