Ahhhh…..the great debate about changing the clocks - is it good or is it bad? Some people love it and some people hate it? I’m not doing a poll about this debate, but I am doing a poll on just daylight saving time, which is normally the favorite of the two time changes. What I’m curious about, is your opinion of DST and how much it affects you personally. My DH is someone that prefers returning to standard time in the fall and likes it when it gets dark out earlier. I know a few other people that prefer it too. Before we find out your opinion of DST, let’s jump ahead to some information……

I was surprised to read about it being used to conserve energy during war time - I was always told DST was to help the farmers. So let’s find out now of DST is something you like or not. So, let’s spring into your answer today……
What is your opinion of daylight saving time?
Does losing an hour sleep have any negative effects on you?
(multiple choice)
For Me……This is a tough question for me, because I do like having more light, but I sleep worse during daylight saving time. So, I’m going to say I like it, definitely not love it, and that losing one hour sleep doesn’t negatively effect me. My sleep issue happens during the entire time of DST, not just a few days after it happens - I’m certain that it’s because when it’s light out longer, I’m busier doing things and have less down time, so my mind doesn’t settle down, which makes me sleep poorly - it’s annoying
. This is our first time in 3 years that we’ve been home for the time change - we’ve been in Florida and then we lost 2 hours of sleep
. It didn’t bother me much, but it sure bothered my DH.

This. And needing to remember how to do it in my car really chips me off. Otherwise, I don’t care much. This spring change is a little easier than the fall one. The first morning is a little rough but I’m already back into routine. It can take a week or so to be able to go to sleep an hour earlier though.
