Happy December Everyone!
I hope all my American DIS Friends had a good holiday weekend. I know I did and ate way too much. When you’re the holiday host, you get the majority of the leftovers and then you’re nibbling on it all the time . I also did all my decorating this past weekend - it takes me 3 days. I didn’t leave my house for 4 days - it was great!

With today being December 1st, it’s time to celebrate all our DIS Friends who have a December birthday. I know many of you probably don’t like having a December birthday. My DH’s birthday is on the 28th and he’s never liked it. I’ve always done my best to make sure his birthday is special by never combining it with Christmas.

So let’s find out today who’s celebrating this month. Give yourself a big birthday shout out today…..

Sadly not anymore my grandfather was a Christmas baby!!! I know a few people who have December birthdays I always feel sorry for them because you know people always tie their birthdays into Christmas and my personal opinion is that that’s not right I am a child with a January birthday and people try to do that too and I’m like that’s not right you don’t do that to somebody in the summer don’t do that to somebody in the winter but again my personal opinion ymmv

Exactly the same for me!

DH doesn't really like that his birthday is close to Christmas, though, as it can easily get overshadowed. So sometimes we have a "half-birthday" in June for him.

My birthday is Christmas Day. I've always hated it, especially as a child. My son's birthday is December 21st and we celebrate it together, which is nice.

slo - my Thanksgiving sounds like yours. We hosted it and we've been eating leftovers for days. I also stayed home for four days, putting up the outdoor lights and helping to shovel the 9 inches of snow that we had yesterday.

We just celebrated little grandsons birthday Saturday. A little early. This was the giant 100 people party dil2 planned. It was great! After all she went through to have this miracle baby I can understand.
