What is your opinion of pie ala mode?

For Me…..Love it
My mom and I visited our local apple orchard yesterday to buy their seasonal apple donuts (these are awesome) and for the first time I brought home one of their apple pies (all items are made fresh every day). I’m looking forward to having a piece tonight, but I need to buy some vanilla ice cream on my way home from work. I love warming my pie and then adding a big scoop of ice cream - yum yum yummy!

I usually have mine w/o ice cream. But it's okay with it too - preferably just a really small amount. I don't like when it overwhelms the pie flavor.

With that being said -
I have on several occasion put cheddar cheese on my apple pie - delicious !!! When I first heard this I thought - ooh no - but oh it is delicious !!
But most of the time my favorite pie which is Apple is often ate alone with glass of milk

We had 12 apple trees and 6 or 7 peach trees. I ate a lot of pie. Ex's mother made the best apple pie which transferred to the wife of the time. So I always either had the best apple pie in the world or the 2nd best.

Always warm with a scoop of ice cream.

The peaches rarely made it to pie form. They rarely made it past me mowing the yard so we didn't really have enough for a pie, LOL.

I don't eat pie, not because I don't like it but because of the crust. That is not something I eat.
I did just make apple crumble and put ice cream on it......but ice cream only when the fruit based item is hot

Yes, I like a scoop of vanilla ice cream with most kinds of pies, not pumpkin or any of the cream pies though. Cherry and Pecan are my favorites.

I’ve only had pie ala mode a handful of times in my life. It’s okay. I would prefer whipped cream on any pie. I like apple, but my favorite fruit pie is blueberry.

No ice cream for me--just a yummy slice of fruit pie (or pecan--my fave, along with blueberry). I don't eat cream pies.

Cake we usually only have ice cream with it at birthday parties .

We don’t have ice cream in the freezer to often. Prefer to go out for ice cream…lol

My favorites are cherry pie with vanilla ice cream or apple pie with cinnamon ice cream (when I can find it).

I prefer my pie and ice cream separate (don't want the cold ice cream making my warm pie cold), but do eat them together on occasion.

I like shoofly pie with a bit of heavy cream drizzled on top. We had it that way at the Reading Terminal Market once. A nice way to get the creamy flavor without cooling off your warm pie.

Definitely yes on fruit or berry pie but only when the pie is warm.

I’m not a big dessert eater at all and while there are a couple pies that I like I’ve never had ice cream on them.
