Apple pie with cheddar cheese, too, is top tier.

I’m so intrigued with this….

Warmed and melted I assume?

I wouldn’t turn down pie with ice cream, but I’d rather just eat pie straight up. I don’t like ice cream with cake either.

I am with Little Miss Sunshine on this. I have always been a fan, at least with some types of pie, and especially if the pie is still warm, or in more recent times reheated a bit.

I always had it either warm pie/cold cheese or cold pie/cold cheese growing up.

Went to a pie shop a few months ago and they served warm pie/melted cheese on top and I wasn't as much a fan. Melting it made the sharpness of the cheddar fade, and the texture wasn't my fave.

So, if I was always in charge, I would eat cold/room temp pie, cold cheese.

My favorite snack (or, one of them) is a granny smith apple slice with a good, sharp slice of cheddar on it...goes so well together!

NEVER ice cream on top of the pie, only on the side.

On the side in a different dish. I can't stand when the ice cream melts and gets all runny and then makes the crust soggy. Yech! Plus it makes the plate look awful when there's runny, liquidy ice cream all over. Not appetizing at all.

How about an ice cream pie with fruit topping?

If the fruit or whipped cream isn't all runny and makes the pie soggy, that's fine.

I was going to mention this earlier, but didn't know if I wanted to open that can of worms.

I like the cheese melted on top, or at least softened. It's a sweet/savory thing--like pineapple on pizza. If you like that sort of thing I'd recommend it.

Love pie and ice cream, pie on a plate and ice cream in a bowl. Same for cake.

Love it. Warm apple pie with rich, good vanilla ice cream is second only to warm blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream.

There was a GAC movie that came out maybe two years ago called Christmas a la Mode and that got me started back on apple pie & ice cream. I like to throw a slice of pie and two scoops of ice cream in my nutribullet with a splash of milk and it makes the most delicious apple pie shake.

Guess I know what I'm buying at the store tomorrow now......

I like it on a fruit pie , but I'm fine with no ice cream. For my favorite pie Coconut Custard, no ice cream. My second favorite is Pecan. If it is warm I prefer ice cream .None if at room temperature.

Oh yum, hot/warm apple pie with ice cream! I really enjoy most fruit pies a la mode, except cherry; I think the fruit is too tart with the sweet ice cream (but I'll eat it if I HAVE to!). I also like cake with ice cream, not just for birthdays, and brownies with ice cream. Also soda with ice cream. Heck, I just love ice cream!

I think I'll make an apple pie tomorrow. It's the season!
