I’m headed to a casino tonight, which is what inspired this poll. For our anniversary (our 30th was Tuesday) we are headed up to Michigan to see eat at a big ol casino buffet, see Wayne Newton and then have a little fun in the casino, I’m very excited - it’s going to be a lot of fun! I’m not a big gambler, because I’m a sore loser, but I do like to goof off a little. What’s your thoughts about gambling at a casino? Give us your jackpot answer today……

Do you enjoy going to a casino?
If yes…..do you gamble?
If yes…..what casino games do you play?
(multiple choice)

For Me……I do enjoy going to a casino once in awhile. Truth be told….this is our first casino trip since before Covid. The casino by us ended their buffet due to Covid and then never returned it. We’d go there for the buffet and then do a little gambling for fun afterwards. I miss that buffet - it was really good. I love a good buffet, especially casino buffets, they always have so many items to choose from and the desserts are the best. I hope the buffet tonight is good since I’m really looking forward to it. The casino games I’ll be playing tonight will be roulette, slot machines and keno (if they have it live - I only do live). Hopefully I win something to make it fun. I don’t have to win much, just enough to come home with what I left with or to prolong the gambling to let me have fun for awhile. My DH always wins and it’s very annoying - LOL!

Most of you know my answer. ;)

I've been to the casino in which you're headed, Slo. Very nice spot. :thumbsup2

The casino I frequent, also gave up their buffet because of Covid and never brought it back. But the best thing is they don't allow smoking anymore in our casino. My lungs are very happy about that. :goodvibes

I don’t go very often just for DD bday as she likes it and she wins I don’t 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I bring a small amount and once that’s gone I’m done which doesn’t take long but love the buffets so delicious!!!

Good Luck 🍀 SLO have fun and enjoy Wayne !!

We went to Las Vegas one time, just to see what it was like. I don't gamble. I don't even like to buy lottery tickets.:) But On that trip a played a little on the slot machines. I allowed myself to lose $20, which didn't take long. My husband won a little money at Blackjack, which was nice.

My grandfather had a real slot machine in his rec room. It was an old fashioned one-arm bandit that took nickels. My grandfather would supply a bowl of nickels for us. We spent hours playing with it. :)

I’m glad to hear it’s a nice place - we’ve never been there.

The newest casino by me is the Hard Rock and I’ve been told that the cigarette smoke in there is terrible. It does have a buffet, so one day we’ll go check it out, but I do hate it when you have to take your clothes off outside so you don’t drag that smoke smell in the house. And….my hair absorbs cigarette smoke like a sponge and then I have to smell that until I take a shower the next morning :crazy2:

The casino that used to have a buffet that we went to a lot is The Horseshoe

I know, the smoke at most of the casinos used to be soooo bad! ONLY good thing about Covid was our casino won't allow it now. Hopefully that won't change. Most people I talk with love the no smoking even the ones that do smoke. I haven't been recently to the one your headed to so I'm not sure abut the smoking.

Have a ton of fun. Enjoy Wayne Newton, too and Happy Anniversary. :)

I've never been to a "real" casino and don't really have any interest. When we drove across country while moving to San Francisco, we stopped for an hour at a small, roadside-stand type of place outside of Reno that had one-armed bandits. We had a roll of nickels each which we quickly lost (yes, it was that long ago). We each had a 'free' beer while there, so I figure we got our money's worth. I don't see the attraction, and probably won't ever go to another casino.

We go for the food on occasion. Ours have horse racing too so we will watch the horses but don't bet. Sometimes my husband will get $5 to play the slots for less than 5 minutes.

I'll go once or twice a year normally. My preference is to play poker, but not all casinos have a poker room. Otherwise, I try to stick to blackjack with the occasional slot play. Made a trip to Vegas last year with my older son and will probably go back next year for my younger son's 21st birthday (he's already asking).

I can’t say I’ve never been to one; several of my close family members love it and will often choose it for their celebration activity. For myself, I don’t enjoy it and I never win. I can’t think fast enough to be good at cards, dice and roulette are too capricious and the digital slot machine games nowadays are so complex that I barely know what’s even happening on the screen. As for dining, a casino is the last place on earth it would occur to me to go to if I wanted a fancy meal.

Haven’t been to our local casino in several years. We just aren’t into gambling. Even when we went to Las Vegas we only gambled $20.

I have only been to a casino once. It wasn’t my thing. Too noisy, too crowded, and they allowed smoking, which I am allergic to. My aunt used to love them though. She would take a set amount of cash and that was it. She would pocket any winnings instead of continuing to gamble. She looked at the $20 like it was a ticket for an evening’s entertainment.

I love casinos. I go to my local on average of once a week and play mostly blackjack with some slots mixed in. I’m very lucky that the table games staff at my casino include some of the greatest customer service I’ve come across at any business.

I also travel to casinos a few times per year but always add on non gambling to those trips. So far this year I’ve been to Vegas for WrestleMania, Atlantic City twice for a basketball tournament and another wrestling show, and St Louis for football/baseball and stayed at casinos during each of those trips.

I generally only go to a Casino when a friend invites me. I’ve only ever played slots.i always set an amount I am willing to lose. If I hit I cash out and then start over.

On my trip to Vegas I didn’t hit big but still came home with about half of what I took to lose.

Used to be that Vegas or Atlantic City were the basic options if you wanted to go to a casino. Now there are many places all over the country with casinos. Enjoy them and fun to visit. Those that allow smoking tend to have the AC turned up to max in order to filter out the smoke. Mostly play slots. Occasionally when the min bet is low enough will play roulette. There is ZERO skill involved in roulette, the probability of any number coming up is the same regardless of the prior spin results. You just put your chips on the numbers you think are lucky. Mostly I like watching others who play as those some sort of skill is involved.............LOL.

Not a fan of casinos. I've been to a few in Vegas on a work trip and have no desire to go back. I played Pokemon Go while the other people did a little gambling. Walked through a local one to get to the movie theater and it was just depressing.

Before we had children, my DW and I use to go to Vegas every year with 3 or 4 other couples and had a GREAT time, those were some very fun trips. During those years I won enough to say that, not only did we have great vacations, we ended up a few thousand $$ at the end of those trips. If you add in the wonderful dinners we had at discounted prices, delicious $5 steak dinner, all the free drinks, and the fun times spent with friends it was so worth it for us.
