When I was at WDW there were bubble wands everywhere. If they are at WDW, I’m going to guess they are at other Disney parks and probably other parks that aren‘t Disney. Which leads me to ask…..

What is your opinion on bubble wands?
If you bought one for a child would you buy it and let them blow as many bubbles as they wanted or would you regulate when they could blow bubbles?
(multiple choice)

For Me…..I’m not a fan of bubble wands when in a crowded theme park :sad2: . I was constantly wiping bubble residue off my sunglasses. It wasn’t so bad when you just walk by a child blowing bubbles, but when I’m getting blasted by bubbles while standing in line or while waiting for fireworks, I’m not happy about it. I can honestly say I would not buy one for my girls, because I wouldn’t want their bubbles blowing all over people, or if I did, I wouldn’t allow them to blow bubbles in a crowded area :sad2:. If I don’t like bubbles in my face then I’m sure others don’t like bubbles in their face either.

🤣 just kidding! We tolerate them and bought maybe 1 for DD in her younger years. But, you are right, there is such thing as too many bubbles! Especially in the crowds with no supervision.

I love them BUT there is a time & place for things just like I HATE someone’s wet fan blowing their water on me 🤮 no thank you ! Boundaries people ! Just like standing in line you don’t have to be right up on top of me ! We all going to same place ! No I would never allow my kids to blue bubbles on others - not respectful

I am getting a t-shirt printed for our visit to Disney in December that says 'NO BUBBLES'
I hate them - they're everywhere when you're trying to eat and drink and no-one seems to care. Also if they happen to burst on your face they don't half make your contact lenses sting.
If that makes me a bit bah-humbug - also don't care!

I usually don't mind them except for when kids use them in enclosed spaces such as the monorail, ride queue, the ride itself or the bus. All of those scenarios have happened to me at some point and it's really obnoxious. When walking around the park, they don't bother me at all.

Not a fan of bubbles in my face, on my skin, in my food, etc. When DD was very little she'd get a rash from bubble soap- very sensitive skin- so if there were bubbles around, we were NOT. Our current resident 6 and 11/12ths year old is a bubble fan, so the rule is OUTSIDE with the bubble stuff!

I tolerate them, I guess they are o.k. out in the open but not in lines or in packed areas like FWs. They didn't exist when my son was little and now have a grand daughter but I wouldn't buy one for her. I did buy my son the bubble wands you had to wave around in the air and they were only used outside in our yard and the one you dunked in the little bottle and blew the little bubbles out of. He was allowed to play with those in the house but I certainly would not have allowed it anywhere but in our house. If my son buys his daughter one, I will be gently mentioning to both parents that she shouldn't be using it in crowds but I doubt if they will buy her one. She has already been to Disney World twice and she is only 2 years old. She will be going again this Dec. when she will be 2 1/2 so still too young for them.

This exactly. These have been around forever at Disney and they are whimsical and fun but why do we even need to have the conversation about whether blowing them all over people is OK? Sheesh... :sad2:

Haha "My child would be regulated with their bubble blowing".

On behalf of the Gumdrop Guild, and as acting committee member of the Joy Division, we will expect all children to abide by bubble blowing regulations, as referenced in section 8.11 of the Bubble Blowing Code, revision B.

Failure to follow said code will result in a TIME OUT!

We noticed them when we were in WDW last month, also. We didn't buy one (we only have adult "children" now), but I think the kids would have loved them when they were little. I didn't really mind them outdoors, although we did walk through multiple clouds of bubbles. I don't remember having many issues with them in queues, on rides, etc. I think most people were decent about regulating when they can be used/not used. If my kid had one, I would not let them use them in lines, etc.

I agree with many here - they're fine, and a fun thing for the kids to do, but there are places where they shouldn't be used. I don't mind getting bubbles on me - I'm already sweaty andgross, so a little soap won't hurt. 🤣 I've never had to worry about it, but if I had kids I would definitely not allow them to use the wands indoors or in queues, around dining tables, etc. I really don't see it happening too often, but ocassionally you see a little obnoxiousness in the parks and, honestly, bubbles are the least area of concern.
