🍁 It‘s raking leaves season 🍁

Who’s started and who’s doing it in your home?
(multiple choice)

For Me…..Our big Oak Tree is still full of leaves (very frustrating)
I was really hoping it would have dropped a lot of them so DH and I could pick them up while we are having some unusual warm weather here in the Chicago area. Tomorrow is supposed to be very windy, so maybe there’s still hope. I normally hate wind, but in this case, I’m liking it - blow those leaves off the tree! 💨🍁🍂💨

We did ours Wednesday. Now waiting for the city to come pick them up.

Trees still have most of their leaves on them. I usually use the bag on the mower to pick most of them up.

I raking for me - I used to do it at my other house - but this one very few trees very few leaves - no need for it - Thankfully !! One chore I hate !! Right up there with snow !!

We never rake leaves. We use a leaf blower to blow out the flower beds then we drive over them with the mulching attachment on our tractor. We also blow some back into the woods. No leaf pickup here since we are in a semi rural community. Makes it so easy!

We usually have to do this about 3 or four times a season until all the leaves are down. We are in New England and have a yard that is about an acre so it is a lot of leaves. I would die if we had to rake them all. 😁

We have started, but there we still have a lot left to fall. We do very little raking, mostly just mulching.

Landscape service does them. Piled at the street curb for village leaf collection trucks. About half are down, but like you, Sandy, expect many more to come down today and tomorrow with the expected winds. In my younger years, I remember many years of raking and blowing.

The weather in the Philly area is supposed to be unseasonably warm which I am going to take advantage of and will be doing our leaves this weekend for the first time of the season. Our first fall yard cleanup requires a combination of raking and leaf blowing. We trim the low hanging tree branches and all of the bushes, clean out the vegetable gardens and top it off with a fresh cut for the grass. We will have to do this several times until the trees are fully naked but after the initial cleanup it does get much easier.

We don't do it. We have hardly any leaves that fall.....more flower blossoms.
Our yard people blow them and haul them away

Our lawn service rakes leaves, but they always end the annual service before all the leaves have fallen. I usually end up raking leaves, although not the entire lawn.

We live in a townhouse community and have no trees on our property. Leaf raking of the communal areas is done by a service.

When we had a house we used to rake, then DH got a leaf blower so he did it all.

We don’t rake leaves because our small condo backyard doesn’t have a lawn and the landscapers handle the common areas. I do battle them, and millions of fallen pine needles, valiantly with a broom and vacuum though. We just finished the last of the fall tidying up last weekend, in time for the snow. :cold:

Husband and I rake. It’s been done a few times already.

Our trees are almost done but the neighbours leaves are coming our way. As ours also went to the neighbours on the other side when we had some wind.

Husband well mulch the last bit .

Empty nester living in condo living with no yard. I do have a small patio with a oak tree on the other side of the fence so all the leaves fall in my patio. For the last month, I swept about once every 2 days and fill 3 yard waste bags.
