Has anyone done this with lasting success? My neighbor has the tapes and I've noticed a difference in her over the past 2 weeks. It looks amazing. How awful is the initial pain?

Frustrated because I've been hitting the gym faithfully 4-5 times per week, eating healthy and drowing in the quarts of water I'm drinking with VERY little weight loss and not a lot of noticeable toning -- unless I was THAT MUCH WORSE before and didn't realize it.

Looking to drop the gym time to maybe 3 days and do something at home on alternating days.

I have no experience with these tapes. I've seen the infomercials, but don't know of anyone who has ordered them.

I'm bumping to hear if anyone knows more about the program.

I have no personal experience with them, but I hear that they are good for toning - not for big weight loss. I've also heard that they can get boring because you are doing the same things over & over.

It really sounds like you are already doing a lot!! Have you ever considered having a trainer look at your workout and tweak it? I did that about a month ago. He said that I just needed to vary the classes I attended and those last 8 pounds are just about off now. Don't give up!!

I have the DVDs and the first one is challenging - I was sore for at least 5 days after that. Once you start, it quickly becomes doable. I think it works, I have lost 30 lbs since doing the videos off and on since the summer (for maximum results, the video should be done daily) but I have only done it 2 or 3 times a week.

Love the slim in 6!

Were you sore because you hadn't previously been exercising? I mean, I've been going to the gym since August, so hopefully I'd be in less pain?

My husband and I have both used Slim in 6 - he's in such good shape that he's moved on to something else.

I have some chronic health issues that keep me from working out regularly but I always go back to this. I'm not in great shape but I think the first workout, which is only 25 minutes, is too easy. It doesn't even include the resistance bands.

I much prefer the 2nd workout, which is about 50 minues. It's a really good balance of aerobic and resistance work.

the third workout is hard and I think a little more than an hour - I usually don't make it all the way through, but after a few weeks of the middle workout I usually move on to the third one.

I also have some other workout DVDs with Debbie Seibers and I like them - good variety and nicely balanced.

i have these DVD's but found them a bit boring after a couple times. I need serious motivation. I guess i just like walking or running outside better than being coped up in the house.

Prior to doing Slim in 6 I was only using the treadmill for 45 each day. I wasn't lifting weights or doing squats. I could walk because of all of the squats and lunges (I do them without cheating so it felt like I had tight rubber bands around my thighs. You will do just fine since you've been working out. Good luck!

Well, I ordered the DVDs yesterday. I got tired of waiting for my neighbor to copy them for me. Sssshhhh...

I'll let you know how I make out once I get them. Hopefully, I should have them by the end of next week.

Curious to know how this is working?

I got them last Monday. Started on Thursday. Did "Start it Up" on Thursday night and Saturday morning. Thursday, I didn't even break a sweat, so I also did about half of the separate ab workout. My abs were so sore on Friday that I gave myself a day off.

I think I'll move to "Ramp it Up" fairly quickly. Still plan on going to the gym regularly though.

Just thought I'd update since it's been 2 weeks. I've only done the dvd's about 6 times. First 5 were Start it Up, then I did Ramp it Up last night. I'm still going to the gym, so I'm finding it hard to squeeze it all in without overdoing it. I'm trying to get into a routine where I'm still going to the gym 4-5 times per week (doing primarily cardio with some weights) and then doing the tapes alternating days.

Anyway, Start it Up was a piece of cake at only 24 minutes. Ramp it Up...that's another story. I did it last night and even though I managed to go to the gym today, I was only able to do about 20 minutes of treadmill/elliptical before calling it quits and coming home. Ramp it Up (47 minutes) definitely gives you a workout. I'm pretty sore today -- mainly my legs and shoulders. I plan to do it again tomorrow and Saturday with the gym in between...and Sunday to recouperate.
