I'm so tired I thought I just saw a sleestack on TV. You know the lizard people from Land of the Lost. Not that new one they came out with a few years ago... but the REAL one from the 70's?

What cartoons did you watch as a kid? Do kids still watch cartoons on Saturday mornings?

I also liked that Hanna Barbera Olympics show with Captain Caveman & I think one team was the Really Rottens?

Give me Sid and Marty Kroft. Land of the Lost, H.R. Pufnstuf, Bugaloos, Sigmund and the Sea Monsters. Great stuff.

OMG - my sister and I were so scared of those sleestaks!!! Those webbed fingers, pointy heads, and heavy breathing/hissing drove us insane!!

Another Sid and Croft Fan her - there's nothing like them! I think I saw somewhere they are all out on DVD - gotta get those!

I just got done watching "Speed Racer", the old stuff. Yes, I watched everything including "UltraMan" & "Johnny Socko".

My kids laugh their heads off at "Land of the Lost".

Sleestacks. ROTFLOL! That's too funny. I really loved that show, for the campyness of it. And I wasn't a kid in the 70's -- I was a wee bit older. LOL!

poochie -- I remember them all! Fractured Fairy Tales was my favorite amongst those you listed. Let's not forget Tennesse Tuxedo and Cecil the Sea Sick Sea Serpent! And -- the great Hanna Barbara cartoons!

I love watching cartoons! and now that we have digital cable I can watch the Boomerang channel. I like the older cartoons not the new stuff they have now and the Boomerang channel shows all older stuff.

Not sure I heard of that channel, digital is that thru Adelphia? I would luv to find that station. Still am a big fan of the old cartoons. The new ones are way to loud and techincal. I mean how many different digital computerized cartoons can they create. Need to go back to the basics.

No not Adelphia, we have Blue Ridge Cable and for me the Boomerang channel is 206. Boomerang is a sister channel to the cartoon network, and right now every friday in June they are showing June Bugs (looney tunes 24/7 )

Ok, so can I just tell you that when I was a kid, my aunt was getting married to a man with the last name Slezak. Well, I thought it was Sleestack, and I thought he must be one of them in human form!

My sis and I had crushes on the son from Land of the Lost - sooo cute!! What was his name? Wesley?

I had such a crush on Speed Racer when I was little!!

I also watched UltraMan all the time. One episode freaked the heck out of me though....don't remember specific details, but a man walked into a closet and came out as a monster!! I would never go to bed at night or even take a bath til I opened the closet doors!!

Remember Will from Land of the Lost was also Mike Horton?? He was a cutie! When I got to high school and we were doing algebra, the instant the teacher said the word "pylon", I was instantly transported back to childhood!!

My favourite show as a kid was The Super Friends. That was the best, first with Wendy and Marvin and then with the Wonder Twins!

My kids love Boomerang! I love watching the Jetsons, the Flintstones (and the Jetsons meet the Flintstones!) and all the other old cartoons... they were so much better back then!

I think that Land of The Lost, is still on somewhere! I love that one!

I'm boring, I only watch news, nature, weather and food, and the occasional scifi!
