I know this is supposed to be for Fort Wilderness camping but I was wondering if anyone has had any expirence with this camp ground. Is it good? Clean? Any info on it would be nice. Thanks.

Sorry never heard of it but have you tryed rv.com I think they do campground reviews over there.

Actually, we stayed there last summer on our way to Myrtle Beach. Owner was incredibly nice, facilities were so-so. Bathhouse was not too clean (DW would not shower, and would not let our DD's use it). We were in site 72 I believe, right across from a bathhouse. I braved it and took a shower before bed - just be sure to wear your flip-flops. That being said, it depends on your stay: if you are looking for a place to pull in late at night and just get some sleep, it's not too bad (we've been in much worse!). Easy highway access, but you can hear some noise. Next to an empty run down hotel. Not really near restaurants - might be some at one of the prev/next exits? Mostly pull through gravel sites; free newspaper; owner led you to your site; there was construction at that exit during last summer. Overall - about a 4 on a scale of 1-10.

It's located right off of I-95 - Exit 14, near Lumberton, NC. Like I said, not that bad if you just need a place to pull in and get some sleep. I would not stay here for more than a night.

We stayed there last year on our way home from the fort. We won't stay there again. I agree with everything that disneydadinohio said, except I would add that you can see and hear the highway from the part of the campground where we stayed. It was so close that we could have given traffic reports! Might as well have stayed in a rest stop except for the hookups.

Most of the restrooms were closed for "the season," though the campground was almost full. The one operating restroom wasn't very clean and was out of toilet tissue. And the neighborhood looked kind of sketchy. We'll try something else this year.

All right thats good to know. I probably won't be staying there then. Thanks for the info.
