I sleep naked usually. If it's cold, I will wear a t-shirt. If I'm at a hotel or stay at someone's house, I wear a t-shirt, underwear, and probably night pants!!

Wife beater or tank top and flannel bottoms. I don't like having anything around my arms when I'm sleeping, and just sleep under the blankets to keep warm.

It depends on the weather here in NH. For the hot summer nights it's a tank top with undies or even a t-shirt with undies. For the winter it's flannel PJs with a tank underneath and socks.

I too have the fear of a fire in the night and having to run out naked. I also have children and who knows when they might come in and need something in the middle of the night. Don't need them getting a look at my lady parts.

T-shirt and sleep shorts or pants or coordinated Pj's.

I do nightshirts because I have 2 kids that like to climb in bed with us for morning hugs so I won't take a chance with anything too strappy on top, my girls are too unruly for less than guaranteed full coverage. I am looking forward to being able to sleep in what I want when they head off to college, then it will be nothing but peignoir sets for this girly girl.... Just one of the many little luxuries I gave up when I became a Mommy.

T-shirt and underwear unless it's cold and then I might put on some sweats.

Same here, but sometimes leggings as well. Depends on what is on top of my drawer at the time.

Depends on the season, but usually somewhat coordinated sets, but I buy the pieces separately, if that makes sense?

NEVER EVER "nothing"! I am terrified of there being a fire in my house overnight....and I would have to just run out fast. My DH laughs at me, but I am seriously afraid of this happening!

This actually happened to my parents when I was really young. They left the fireplace going overnight, and the chimney actually caught on fire. Stuff happens! :rotfl2:

I think to fully evaluate the pros and cons of the various answers, we need to see some pictures!:cool2:

I wear tanktop/cami and shorts during the summer and tanktop/cami with long pants during the winter.

For the most part I wear chemise gowns that are just about AT the knee. My favorite ones are made of a heavy t-shirt knit. Strappy enough to look feminine, covered enough to deal with the kids in the middle of the night.

As for fires, I keep a generous full-length wrap robe draped over one of the bedposts. If I had to leave the house in the night I'd grab it and go.
We keep our shoes in a bin by the stairs, so I'd grab those, too, naturally.

Most of the time it is pj pants with random tees that are too old to wear out anymore but I can not part with them. I do have a few pj "sets" and save those for when I am out of town or we have people staying.

:) I'm a nothing. I toss and turn too much and end up getting strangled by night clothes.

When I was a teen that drove my mother nuts and she brought up the what if there's a fire question. I laughed and said, in that case I'm getting saved first!

I usually wear something like yoga pants and a cotton tee or henley to bed. That way I can get up in the morning and take the dog out without having to worry about getting dressed and showered first and I don't feel completely lazy if on Saturday mornings I stay in my PJs for a while. I have a few pairs of cotton boxers that I'll wear with a tank if it's really hot in the summer as well.

Oh, but on Christmas Eve I always wear flannel pajamas.:rotfl:

Lingerie 0% Confirming my belief that it was never designed with sleep in mind. :D

I absolutely cannot sleep naked. I have tried, but I cannot sleep or if I do, I keep waking up because it is just strange (to me... wear whatever you want in your bed).

I usually sleep in a T and undies, but I am moving to night shirts and pjs.

I have seasonal pajamas
Lingerie--Never. I also don't think it was invented to sleep in.
Summer I either wear boy shorts and a tank or cropped t-shirt.
Fall- cropped pants and matching t-shirt set
Winter-Flannel PJ's. I hate winter and freeze even with the electric mattress pad and 2 blankets and quilt.
I might sometimes get into bed undressed but when I am finished with "what I have planned" I get into pj's, I just don't feel comfortable sleeping naked.
As to undies, my mother always told me to let things "breathe" during the night so I don't wear them.

I wear a short sleeved, above the knee length nightshirt, in lightweight Tshirt material in the summer, or flannel/microfleece in the winter. Can't stand anything around my legs when I sleep. But I do wear undies! And I have been known to sleep in my birthday suit, but only on special occasions... ;)

I voted t-shirt and shorts/pants. I mostly wear an oversized t-shirt with very thin cotton sleep pants. I do have a couple pairs of flannel pajama sets that I wear in the winter. And in the summer I have some shorty thin cotton nightgowns I wear sometimes too.
