Hey guys, I am going to DL in June, & I just found out that the walk through for the castle is closed indefinitly. I am so bummed, my two year old is so in love with this movie, I was looking forward to her seeing that one thing. What is the deal with it? How come they closed it? Also I haven't seen the MSEP since I was a little kid. That was my favorite thing about DL. I am so excited that it is back over there. My question for that is, I know they changed the name because it is at DCA, but it is still exactly the same parade? With the same music? The music has to be the same, or I will cry. This is the first time I will be sharing it with my daughters. The oldest, she is five, has been there 4 times, but never seen the parade. We listen to the song all the time, so she is really looking forward to seeing mommy's favorite she calls it. Thanks for the info. Cristen

The music is the same and I thinks it's called Disney's Electrial Parade, but I am probably wrong about that. It looks like the same parade I saw in WDW years ago, and perhaps with more floats? It is so cute, the kids all light up when they see it. It's been since October of 2001 that I saw it. I will be in DL in 2 weeks, I try to get the scoop on the castle walk through.

Thanks. I am looking forward t o seeing the parade after all these years. My parents used to take me there 3-4 times a year mainly for the parade. Along with everything else there of course! Then I moved from Cali in 1993 & I haven't seen it since it moved to WDW. It should be fun. Thanks again

We saw the MSEP last Friday. It was just as I remembered it as a child with the same music and yes! the same music. I especially like the circus variation of the music. The crowd for the parade was less than I had expected. We found a great bench seat right near the golden dome. After the parade passed we had a beeline route to the park exit and were able to beat a lot of the crowd. Enjoy and share the magic of the MSEP with your child!

Sleeping Beauty's Castle has been closed for about a year now I think (it's been a long time). It's not even listed as an attraction in some places anymore, so I doubt they'll reopen it. :( I had heard a rumor that one of the reasons they closed the walk-through was because they didn't want to take any chances after 9/11. If you remember the walk-through, it was a series of darkish, narrow, walkways with no window to the outside. They may have also closed it because it looked so outdated--remember the robotic movements of the characters and the wads of cotton representing "puffs of magic?" :teeth:

You may be able to find Princess Aurora at Disneyland. A lot of times there are princesses posing for pictures and signing autographs in Fantasyland around the castle. And there's that princess storybook time at Tinkerbell's Toy Shop in Fantasyland.

Good luck! :)

I was actually the LAST PERSON to walk through this in Oct 01 right after 9/11. It was a part of a scavenger hunt I was participating in, and they closed it right behind my team. They felt they could not keep it secure and have heard it will NOT reopen.

Sad but true:(
