How comfortable are the sleeper sofas at the VWL? Would an average size adult sleep well enough to make through a week at WDW?

Hard one to answer as it will depend on the adult. I would never make it.

Not sure about VWL, but at BWV they'll provide a bed board on request, which takes care of the bar down the middle... but you know you're on a board! My understanding is that all the old sofa sleepers will be replaced in time. I've heard that the new ones at OKW are quite comfortable.

They're not that great at BWV. But, if you're really tired (like one normally is at the end of the day at WDW) and you don't have back problems or arthritis, you'll survive. In addition to the board, I suggest flipping the mattress as well. This really helped the last time someone used one in our room.

I used the living room sleeper sofa at BWV in April. I found it more comfortable to just sleep on the folded-up sofa.

I only slept on the sleeper sofa for one night at VWL, but found it to be comfortable enough.

On the other hand, I'm not very picky about beds and have no problem sleeping in almost any hotel bed in the country.

My 23 year old DD slept in the the one at BCV. She said it wasn't all that comfortable, so the next morning, I asked a housekeeper if they had those egg crate type mattress pads. She left one in the room for us. My DD said it did help a lot.

I ahve a "Pooh-sized" frined who has slept on the sleepr sofas at OKW,BCV, & BWV and found them all to be comfortable. Maybe not the "Heavenly Beds" at the Swan and Dolphin, but she claims quite acceptable.

I've had mixed experiences with them...though I recall the first one we had at VWL to be the most comfortable. May have been because it was new.

Good to know about the bed boards or the egg crate pads.....though we always at least attempt to make the kids sleep on the pull out so we can have the real bed.

Thanks for all the feedback. Will definately keep the bed board and egg crate pad in mind.

Does anyone think putting an Aerobed mattress on top would work?
