Skyliner with ECV and stroller

It is my understanding only one ECV or stroller per skyliner vehicle. If the stroller is folded up, can they proceed on the same vehicle together? My concern is I heard the vehicle with the ECV may take much, much longer to get to the destination than the 2nd vehicle. I read there is a considerable delay getting the ECV vehicle in the queue with the other vehicles. Does anyone have any input on that as well??

We easily fit a fairly small chair (Whill) and a pretty single big stroller, and nothing had to fold. You could fit pretty much any stroller if you folded it.

There is a separate loading area for ECV’s. How long you wait will depend on whether there is a queue… I never had more than a couple of parties ahead of me and frequently there is no one waiting. Unless something extraordinary happened, I can’t image your ride would be “much, much longer” than the regular cars.

Even with the larger ECV which is generally what I use, I’m thinking you would have no issue bringing a folded stroller. The inside of the cars is surprisingly generous and comfortable. I would plan to go to the ECV boarding area. There will be a CM there who can advise you about the stroller. I think you’ll be fine.

How many people are in your group? The ecv is loaded first, then the rest of your group. I don't think a large stroller would fit along with an ecv.

Hi! If you don’t mind telling me, where do you rent your ECV from?

I’m thinking of getting one for my mom next week. I think Disney has them for $50/day, but I’ve heard Scooterbug offers them for $20/day.

I don’t know anything about them being larger or smaller sizes.

Do the rental services allow you to book one each day-or must you set up the whole duration at once? We will be at Disney 2 nights and 3 days. Is it possible to return it early if you use it for a day, then decide you don’t want to use it the next day?

Thank you for any info. you can provide!

Disney’s ECVs are not removable from the theme parks. If you save yiur receipt and show it at a second (or more) park on the same day, you can get another, if it is available. for the rest of that park day at no additional charge. Disney does not offer multi-day ECV rentals.

Rentals from offsite vendors are almost
always on a multiple-day rental. You can take it anywhere you wish (as long as it is a surface compatible with ECVs (sorry, they are not wave runners). If you choose to not use it for a day of your rentsl you should not expect a refund for the “unused” day.

The rental company is usually happy to extend your rental as long ad they have the equipment available.

I rent from Gold Mobility but they have a base charge for 7 days so are not set up for shorter stays.

I notice in one of the stickies on this thread, that Lake Buena Vista scooters has a promotion for people on the DIS boards and only require a two day minimum… pricing is just under $30 a day. Not sure you will do better. You are unlikely to receive any refund if you turn the scooter in early.

You can certainly check the Scooter Bug website or call but for a stay as short as yours the cost is listed over $100 so no savings. I don’t see anywhere even for longer stays that it is $20/day.
