Hi,

I wasn't too sure on where to post... so here I am.

We are staying off-site this trip, but one Wednesday afternoon (1st week of March), we have a 11:55 reservation at Trattoria al forno and a 6 PM reservation at Sanaa. We want to arrive at Sanaa around 4 PM to be able to view the Savannahs and visit a bit the hotel.

If the weather is extra nice, we might just go back to our hotel and use the pool (or my friend and I may split). Alternatively, I was thinking that it might be fun to ride the Skyliner and see what's on its way. We'll need to land somewhere to catch a bus to AKL... or boat to AK then bus to AKL?

What would be your suggestions?

In which order should we take to Skyliner? Which stops are worth a visit? (something nice to see or a bar for a quick drink?) If the 4 of us go, we'd be 2 adults, 1 12 yrs old and a 4yrs old.

Thank you for your help!

Isabelle

If you take the Skyliner you can get off at Riviera, which is the first stop after you get on at the International Gateway. The Riviera has areas with outdoor games that the family can play. There is a really nice bar next to the pool. It is shaded and would be a nice place to relax. The next stop is Caribbean Beach. At the CB station you would catch the Skyliner to Art of Animation and Pop Century. Art of Animation is definitely worth walking around with its bigger than life figures from Cars, Lion King and Nemo. The food court has lots of options and the gift shop is huge. The kids would like this resort. :) Then take the Skyliner back to CB to catch the Hollywood Studios line.

You can also take a boat to Hollywood Studios but the Skyliner would be more fun and get you closer to the bus stop. :)

No boats to AK. Only between Epcot and DHS (one boat system). Then there are boats from the MK resorts to the MK, except for CR. CR only has boats to Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge.

So given your somewhat tight timeline (figure on finishing at Trattoria around 12:30 and having to head for AK around 3-ish) I would ride the skyliner from Boardwalk to CB, then switch over to go to Art of Animation. The theming on the grounds of AoA is wonderful, and your kids will love it. If you ask at the front desk, there's a little scavenger hunt for characters through the property, we did it with my kids on our last trip and it was fun (also made for a nice series of photos for our album). If you're willing to uber between resorts, you could take things at a little more leisurely pace, otherwise you'll have to take the skyliner or a bus back to one of the parks or Disney Springs and then hop a bus to AK.

Where do you plan to be that morning? Assuming you have park tickets I’d go to Epcot and then leave for the Riviera via Skyliner from IG @ Epcot. After lunch, Skyliner to CBR, switch to Skyliner to POP/AOA, Skyliner back to CBR switch to Skyliner to DHS, walk from DHS Skyliner station to AKL buses @ DHS. Assuming you parked your car in the Epcot lot you’ll need to bus from AKL back to Epcot after dinner.
Alternatively, if you don’t want to go into a park, park your car at DHS, maybe boat over to Epcot’s IG at DHS and take Skyliner there over to Riviera, etc. Or park at DHS and Skyliner to CBR, switch to Riviera/Epcot Skyliner get off at Riviera for lunch, get back on and continue to Epcot IG, get off & back on for trip back to CBR. At CBR take the POP/AOA leg & back. Then back to DHS via the CBR station. Bus from DHS to AKL for dinner & bus from AKL back to DHS to collect your car after dinner.

Hi all,

Thank you for the suggestions. I'll read carefully. My bad about boat to AK, that's what I sais but I thought there was a boat from CR to DHS, from where we could take the bus.

To answer those of you that asked questions, in the AM, we are sleeping ;-) or using our resort's pool. We will Uber to the Boardwalk for our Bon voyage lunch, and that's the start of our day!

We could uber between places. i.e. if it makes more sense to go international gateway to somewhere... then skyliner, then uber, then skyliner. We can. We can also do one of the circuit you guys propose and then uber to AKL. We just want a fun day between our 2 reservations.

We already have another early evening planned around the Seven-Seas Lagoon, so we thought the Skyline would be a fun way to see resorts. I always like visiting them.

I really like to idea of the drink by the pool at Riviera and the scavenger hunt at AOA, so I wouldn't want to lose that in the planning.

If lunch at noon you could be done by 1pm. You might boat to Yacht Club and walk to the Skyliner at Intl Gateway. Let's guess 15 minutes. It's a 10 minute or so trip by Skyliner to Riviera. You are approaching 1:30pm. Check out the pool and have a drink. Now 2:30 pm.

Take the Skyliner to AoA via the CBR hub. Let's say 20 minutes total to walk, to board, and ride to AoA. 2:50pm. Wander around AoA and check out the theming for 30-45 minutes.

Potentially now 3:15 to 3:30pm. Board the AoA bus to Animal Kingdom. Change buses to AKL from AK. OR do the Uber thing and give yourself more time at AoA? Maybe?

It is much quicker to walk from Trattoria to the Skyliner station. It is a ten minute walk at the most. Yacht Club is further from the Skyliner than BWI is. :)

You can take a boat from Boardwalk, YC/BC and Swan/Dolphin to DHS. There is no boat from CR to DHS.

You will most likely be done with Trattoria around 1:15/1:30 pm. From there, I would simply walk to the International Gateway Skyliner entrance and board the Skyliner to Riviera. As PP mentioned, there is a really nice pool bar there with drinks and food for all ages plus a gelato cart in the pool area if you would like ice cream. Riviera is really pretty and definitely worth visiting IMHO! From there, you can get on the Skyliner to the CBR hub and switch Skyliner lines to get to AoA which is also worth checking out. From AoA, I would suggest simply getting a lyft/uber/Minnie Van to AKL. It will be much faster than bus to AK and then bus to AKL.

Skyliner doesn't go to the Seven Seas Lagoon. You need the monorail to go around that. The Skyliner goes from Epcot away from Crescent Lake.

Yes, understood. I hope I didn't confuse anyone else with my post. I meant to say that I have another afternoon planned around the 7 seas lagoon... just so that people didn't send me there. My goal with this post is for my afternoon spent around the skyliner.
