There have been reports online that a Disney Skyliner gondola has collided with another gondola, at the Hollywood Studios station. From the photos it seems to be a similar situation to the first incident back in October of 2019.

I wonder what kind of recompense this warrants. My parents always raised hell at minor inconveniences. One time there was a mistake with a Brown Derby/Fantasmic package, and we ended up with about 30 fast passes because of it. The idea of making a big deal out of anything like that makes me cringe, but this does make me wonder.

Disney had an incident with the Skyliner? When did it happen yesterday or today? I don't recall hearing about it on the news at all. What exactly happened and I really hope Disney gives the people that are alright an apology prize or money

The Skyliner was up and running again in less than 2 hours. Incidents are going to happen - buses break down and have accidents. I was on a bus a few years ago that broke down and we had to wait an hour for another bus to get us. I would say at the rate the Skyliner is running, they are doing a pretty good job at not having incidents. FYI - it was the Skyliner Station at Hollywood Studios.

I think a breakdown is a little different than a collision. Yes?

Collision are going to occur- don't are how you look at it - you think that a Disney bus hasn't collided with another vehicle? It happens. Actually it happens (the collision of gondolas) rather frequently at ski resorts, however, we don't hear about it. All I am saying is that things like this will happen - they will fix the issue and move on - just like they did.

My biggest fear is the Skyliner being swept by strong wind and falling off the rails and onto the grassy ground between the forrest while I am riding it between Hollywood Studios and the Skyliner Exchange Center.

Well, for all the extremists - I would simply say look at the statistics for vehicles accidents vs gondolas. Which is more likely to happen? Disney has done a phenomenal job at implementing a system that is quick, efficient and safe. Bring the doom and gloom if you want , I'll take the risk/reward view and see you in the parks...oh, probably a bit quicker than you get there.
