Hi so we are doing a quick trip early June and will be staying at AOA for three nights. Sunday June 6th were starting at HS and hoping to Epcot. Using skyliner for all transportation. I know there can be lines to get on it. So if HS opens at 9 and I want to be arriving at HS about 8 what time should we head to the skyliner to get on?! I know it can always vary but curious anyone has done this recently. Thanks 😁

The current recommendation is to be in line for the SL about 90 minutes before the published park opening. For example; if HS is scheduled to open at 9AM, be in line for the SL at 7:30ish, they officially start running at 8AM, but often begin at 7:50/7:55ish. This should get you to the CBR station which will start at 8AM and enable you to get the park gates for the unofficial park opening, which can be up to 45 min before published opening. This is the strategy we used on our last post-covid trip. we were about the 8th group on at the POP/AOA station, walked right to HS line at CBR station and had to wait at temp check (this was when it was still used) tapped into the park right at 8:15 when the gates were opened.

awesome thank you! I was actually thinking 7:30ish.

Agree that you want to be one of the first in line at the POP/AOA. Your biggest issue will be how much of a line will you have at the CBR station. I've read reports of the line being a few people at 8 am to 30 minutes.
Good luck.

I think we’re gonna Uber! I don’t wanna risk it taking long and lines. We’d drive but we’re hoping to Epcot at 2 and we’ll wanna do skyliner back at night!!

I would say 730 for a 9am opening the line builds up on the Pop side and then again at CBR but it moves pretty quickly. If you Uber to HS, your Uber has to wait until they open the HS parking lot unless you Uber to Swan/Dolphin area and take the walkway to HS.

I feel like I still have a better chance of getting to the Hollywood Studios gate quicker using Uber then Skyliner correct? If we went to Swan and dolphin can anybody be dropped off there or is it like the other resorts where you need to have a reservation or reason to actually visit?

Swan/Dolphin isn’t Disney owned so they don’t have that entry gate person that the Disney resorts do. Plus you don’t have to wait for the parking lot at HS to open like you would at HS. I stayed at Pop in April got inside by 830 am via Skyliner for 9 am opening. The line builds up at CB but it moves quickly. There are also longer Skyliner lines at near park close but it moves too.

Hmmm I’m just not sure what’s best! I really want to be at HS entrance at like 8-8:10.

I would Uber early to Swan/Dolphin and take the walk way to HS. HS Parking lots would probably just be opening around 8am
Have you done the walk? I did it in google maps and it said 20 but it also showed us starting like in a weird spot at swan and then ended pretty far into HS. So maybe like 15 min! I think it’s prob the best option 😀

Yes I done the walk while staying at Dolphin and Yacht Club did not really time it but 15 minutes from Swan Dolphin seems about right.

We stay at Boardwalk regularly. For us the walk is under 15 minutes if you walk slowly. And its a nice walk.

From google maps it looks about the same distance if I have Uber drop us off by the swan parking lot.

You will walk right by Boardwalk, so it would be about 3 minutes longer, maybe. Still a nice walk.

Ok I looked it up on google. I’m the type that needs all details prior to doing something 🤣 does this look like the accurate path we’d take? I saw something else that showed walking on boardwalk side of water. I’m assuming being dropped by that parking lot is good?! Thanks!7709683C-A3C7-4CB3-A9B9-119B83B2A4C5.jpeg

I don't recall a path along the water on the Swan/Dolphin side. Looking on Google Earth, I don't see one there. You may need to walk by the parking lot, then up over the bridge and down to the Boardwalk path. If you can be dropped of at the Swan parking lot, that may be the shortest route.

The blue line doesn’t cross over the water. You have to follow the gray line and go to the boardwalk side. 184B307A-BA33-484D-AADF-87DCA2315C4C.png
