Is this a violent game? I went to order my son two of the character packs and a warning came up that they are for mature audiences and may contain violence and sexual content. Is this a standard warning or should I be concerned about this game. My son is 7. Thanks so much!!!

I'm not familiar with this game, but check reviews using Google. There are also lots of comments on Amazon. It appears to be appropriate for a 7 year old.

Oh my! I hope not. My son who is 10 wants that game too. I thought it would be a great grandma and grandpa suggestion.

I would be very surprised if a Spyro game is violent or has sexual content. Those were among the few games we'd let (now) DS15 get when he was little!

The game is rated E 10+ so it is probably mild fantasy violence--with an E 10+ rating there cannot be any sexual content. The box itself says the game is for ages 6 and up. I have it sitting right next to me.

I'm hoping for some deals on the figures on Black Friday. I bought it last week when they had the deal at TRU where you got the free $20 expansion pack. But my 8 year-old has a list of the 'guys' that he 'needs'.

Toys R Us has a deal that if you buy the game you get an exclusive 3 figure pack, and if you buy the Xbox or PS3 version you can get a $15 GC.

My ds had no interest in this game until last week. He said all his friends are getting it so now he wants it. I think I'll run up to TRU tomorrow to check it out.

We have this game, my DS8 really likes it. I don't think it is any more violent than some of the other games he plays. There are cartoon bears and stuff. I don't let him play the violent games, but this one seems fine. They are shooting monsters.

I can confirm this deal - I bought for my DD today. We got the XBox game - for $69.99 - with that we got the Toys R Us exclusive pack of 3 figures - $19.99 value (you could not pick any pack - only the TRU specific pack). After the clerk rang it up - we also got the $15 gift card (which was a total surprise for us - and the clerk!) Good day at Toys R Us!

The deal at TRU for both the figures and the gift card is good through 11/12. If you buy 2 games priced $59.99 or more, the gift card increases to $40. Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim and several other games release 11/11/11. DH wants Skyrim for Christmas, so I am going to try for Skylanders for DD and Skyrim for DH plus the figures and $40 gift card on 11/11.

I'd classify it as mild cartoon violence (you know, like the one character shoots rainbows and the monsters turn into dust). No blood, no guts, and definitely no sexual references!

For those who are getting this for their kids for Xmas, be aware at least around here the characters are getting VERY hard to come by, especially the Target and Walmart exclusive ones

Sexual content can also refer to attire. Does any of the characters have scat or revealing clothing? It doesn't need apply just to females

I don't think so. We are talking dragons and trolls here and most of them are only vaguely huminoid if at all so I doubt attire would be an issue unless they are upset that the dragons aren't wearing pants.
