Skye and Sienna report cards

They both passed their vet visits with flying colors. Though it was looking like Skye had lost weight, he was exactly the same weight he was a few months ago when I took him in for what turned out to be a hairball. What he's been losing is his heavy fur coat. Vet said he'd give the okay to bring in another kitten at any time now.

Yeah!!!! Did you ask your vet about the red swollen eye on the kitten you have your eye on? How is that looking?

Yup, and I saw a more recent picture and it's looking *MUCH* better. He said that in his experience it's not uncommon for a kitten of that age to get an eye infection and he'd be more concerned about it being a URI (which this litter isn't showing signs of it being -- just red, not weepy, no sneezing, no coughing, etc), but if it cleared up well before the kitten were to come home, he wouldn't have a problem. It's already almost entirely cleared up as of last night. I saw some pictures that were taken last night and you almost can't tell that baby had a red eye now. *And*, there's a possibility that we'd be able to pick a different kitten from that litter. Turns out someone who was looking at 2 of the others for breeder cats only wants one for the breeder she/he just hasn't decided which one yet. We could have the other.

Plus, there are options from another litter this lady has, so we're trying to decide. Color-wise, the litter with the kitten with the sick eye has what we want. Don't know yet personality-wise -- they're still too young to really tell. But when we know for sure which kitten we're getting, I'll post pictures.

whatever, I've had some of the same trials in my life lately, also, but that does not take away my happiness for Tammi. Since you are so OBVIOUSLY an alias your post reeks of sarcasm that you choose not to reveal yourself. There is never a reason to downplay someone else's joy, no matter what you're going through.
