Skycaps at MCO

I’m flying in August with our three year old granddaughter and it will just be the two of us. I’m recovering from a broken shoulder and wrist and am concerned about hauling a toddler and all of her gear over to the DME boarding area.

Are Skycaps still a thing? I’ve never used one before and would appreciate any advice!

Thanks!

How do I request assistance for elderly/minor/disabled passengers?
Skycaps are available to assist passengers. Typical services include curbside check-in, carrying baggage, wheelchair assistance, etc. Please contact your particular airline to arrange for assistance from its skycaps. It is customary to tip skycaps a few dollars for service provided.

Thanks! I did read that thread after a forum search but it mostly concerns wheelchair assistance. I was just wondering how I would get a skycap at baggage claim. I’m not sure just how able bodied I‘m going to be by August. I’m pretty limited right now, just had my weight restrictions lifted.

I’m checking everything that we won’t actually need on the plane. I flew last week and wasn’t able to access the overhead bin 😞

If it fits in your budget, you could consider a towncar. They usually meet you at baggage claim (if your concern is carrying checked bags).

That would be a solution. Are those available at bag claim? We are flying Southwest. I have never checked bags to MCO before!
Rental luggage carts are available at baggage claim. Pre-Covid, cost was $5, payable in cash using $1 or $5 bills or by scanning a credit card.
