I know people that have flown into Virginia and loved it, just wondering how flying into St Augustine is!?!
Thanks

I've been wondering the same thing as we're flying Skybus into St. A. on Thanksgiving Day. We return on Dec. 2. Maybe I'll be the first to post an experience :)

DH is flying to Seattle Nov. 7 on Skybus. I could post his experience with the airlines, but you'll have to wait to find out what St. John's Municipal Airport is like.

Does anyone know if the airport in St. Augustine has any restaurants inside the terminal?

Just making sure that you know that the Washington airport is in Bellingham, about 2 hours north of Seattle. :)

I'm guessing no. These small aiports that airlines like Skybus and Allegiant Air fly into generally have just small convenience stores with snacks and drinks.

No, I dont think they do have anything in the 'terminal' at St A. It's pretty much just a converted hanger. Nothing wrong with that mind you. There are car rental joints on site, and it appears that at least Enterprise will be open at whatever hours Skybus in flying, even when they have their 10pm flight.. I've flown to GSO with them, and it was perfect. So long as they dont discontinue all of their flights to the west coast, I'm going to San Fran, via oakland in May to visit family.. Snagged the $10 tix for those flights. I was going to use them in Dec to St A, but snagged decent priced SW tix to MCO, so did that instead. My times happened to be when they shuffled the columbus to st a flight times, and I actually got refunded for my skybus flight. I just figured I'd be out the cash on that one.

The plane going to GSO on a Thursday was over 80% full I would say, and at least that for the return on Monday. I'm all for them since they are in my backyard, but I am curious to see how the fuel costs and winter affects them..

Already cutting most of the west coast flights. A reund doesn't help passengers that may have passed on decent fares and are stuck with high fares.

Knew, you'd reply.

My post was to mean that they have already cut some, but if they dont cut all their flights to the west coast I'll be going.

They are dropping San Diego, Bellingham sp? (Seattle) and one of their Burbank flights, old news, I had posted that a couple weeks ago in one of the threads here.

Them dropping those flights are no different then any other airline that drops flights, changes flights that cant fit something to the passenger. Dont make it sound like it's only a Skybus issue. It's pretty clear that you really dont like smaller airlines, but they arent the only ones with problems out there..

If they're that small do you think we need to arrive 2 hours before our flight leaves? We always arrive at CMH (Columbus) and MCO at least that early, but will we need to if the only people waiting to go through security are the few riding on my Skybus flight? (We have priority boarding)

Skybus IS the only commercial flight flying out of St. A., correct?

We flew Allegiant out of Sanford airport a couple of years ago and we got our rental car dropped off, checked in and through security in less than 30 minutes so if it were me I wouldn't get to St A 2 hours early. This is just my opinion but just to be safe I would plan on getting there at least 1 hour early even though I'm assuming St A is even smaller than Sanford.

We're flying Skybus into Punta Gorda next May and they're the only commercial airline there, guessing it's the same at St Augustine.
