I was wondering if anyone has ever used skyauction.com. I was checking out the site today for the first time and I have to say it sounds a little too good to be true. Has anyone had any experience with it or ebay or any other vacation rental places.

We are coming to WDW on Dec. 1st for a week, maybe more, we are staying off site because we are on a budget and want at least a 2 bedroom suite or condo or home. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
Lisa

I have purchased through them before. No problems what so ever. I got a 3 bedroom suite at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club for dirt cheap.

They are wonderful. Better than Priceline because if you goof up on bidding they allow you to back out of it.

whois figment....

was that HGVC through a last minute auction....or the ready set go part auction...

have been looking for that particular resort but have not seen it listed...

basically, skyauction is "selling" overabundance of time share units but for cheaper than i can even exchange into the same resorts for since we have to pay maintenance fees + exchange fee + yearly membership to get the same as some are getting for as little as 211$ if you win a bid at 1$

Was listed on sky auction as one of the 2 bedroom suite at resort of your choice near disney. If you are looking for that resort e-mail them and they should be able to let youknow if they have any auction that have that resort. If you can't find there e-mail let me know I should be able to track one down for you.

thanks whois...

will look for that type of auction when i peruse their listings....

so far we have had success with the "ready set go" auctions which allows you to book any week they have in their data base up until dec 15 or so....

what is nice about ready set go.....you can check to see what they have available.....request it ....and if you win the auction you know you have what you want "on hold"

Does anyone that has ever stayed at any of the resorts know if you have to sit through a sales presentation...some make it sound like you do and some don't.

what you receive as a document is an RCI guest certificate...

which introduces you to the resort

they may try to get you to take the "tour" but that is not a prerequisite of "purchasing" via the auction

That's good to know because I don't want to spend time in a high pressure sale if I do not absolutely have to and I won the auction so now we are officially going.

Thanks for the help!
