Have any of you ridden the Sky Coaster in Old Town? My DH is enthralled with watching people on this ride, but doesn't have the guts to do it himself. Last year on my trip with 2 DDs and 3 DGDs, one of my DDs and her 8 year old daughter, did this just to get the video of them on it and bring it home to Dad! Our next trip is next May 2-12 and DH is "considering" riding it this time.

You may have said it all when you said that it takes "guts" to ride it. We have watched many people ride it successfully, but don't get the point of doing it.

I agree with your DH, watching is possibly the best thing to do.

Have done it quite a few times and loved it. The first time I was scared stiff, but got an amazing thrill from it, however I didn't want to be the one pulling the chord. Then later on a friend's young son wanted to go on with me, and as I was the heaviest I had to be the one to pull the thing, so I did that as well. It really is great fun, and I am not a young thrill seeker, but a very mature woman of too many advancing years!!! So if I can do it anyone can.:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

My 12 year old son went on this twice last year with his dad and GRANDFATHER - they ALL raved about it! You couldn't pay ME to go on it - NO WAY!! I couldn't even watch my son - had my eyes closed until the drop part was over. Then I could watch with a smile on my face :)
