Skoosh.com for Offsite Stays

I've been pondering skoosh.com for my August trip and I was hoping for some input from people who have used them before. I notice, for example, that they do not guarantee such things as smoking/nonsmoking requests. They do get a favorable mention in the 2010 UG for very competitive hotel rates, as compared to the biggies like expedia. But I wonder if anyone has been 'zinged' with unexpected problems relating to a skoosh booking. I would probably just suck up the cost elsewhere to avoid room issues if I thought them likely to arise.

I haven't used them but they do come up when I'm searching with Kayak.com so I would think they were reputable.

I've used them in the past, although not recently, and gave them high marks. On top of the great rates, when I needed to cancel, there were no fees or problems. Also had a few questions and the customer service people were top notch.

I'd use them again!!
