Skipped Christmas

So sorry to hear about the accident! We're praying for a speedy recovery.

Ow!
Ouch!
Ow!

Hope all goes well with the fix and she is back at the Fort soon.

Thanks for all the support Fiends. We learned today the surgery will likely not be until Tuesday due to heavy surgery schedule and waiting for the swelling to go down. They said it was a bad break near her left shoulder...in a kinda bad location. :headache: If the timing works out, we have a volunteer who is willing to pick her up at the hospital and bring her to the Fort after her surgery.

As I told her sister today we're doing ok in the MH and have enough food to last until the spring thaw. :goodvibes

Ken we are in site 632 and would be be more than happy to help you in anyway. (Trying to post from my phoneso I hope this works) praying for judy.

I'm sorry to hear about your wife's injury. I pray she has a swift recovery from the surgery. You certainly have your hands full. God Bless you all.

We met Ken and Judy a few weeks ago, during our early December vacation. They were just a few sites away from ours. Very friendly, and Very Special people. We will be praying for Judy during her surgery and recovery. Wish we were still there and could help with the children or some other way. Any DISers still in the fort, I hope you can help this special couple any way you can. :littleangel: Hang in there Ken, better days will be here before you know it!:)

So sorry to hear about Judy, I pray she has a speedy recovery. It is wonderful to hear so many Dis'ers that are at the fort willing to help, God Bless all of you.

Praying for a successful surgery and speedy recovery

I'm so sorry this happened! Sending prayers for healing, speedy recovery, and peace for the whole family.

So sorry to hear about this! I pray for a speedy recovery. It sounds like she's in good hands and you're surrounded by wonderful, helpful Fort friends :)

Ken,

I too am sorry to hear about Judy's accident and hope she comes through her surgery and recovery with ease. I'm also glad to hear about making the plans for next year's Christmas and New Years at the Fort. When you fall off a horse, so to speak, it's good to get back on it!

Bama ED

Judy's surgery is done. The surgeon called around 1 and said he had put in two pins and a rod. She will be in a sling until she feels comfortable without it, and she will follow up with her orthopedic surgeon back home in a couple weeks. (Maybe about the time Auburn replaces Alabama as National Champions.) She will be evaluated tomorrow for her return to Ft Wilderness in the next day or two. Although the break(s) were near the shoulder, her shoulder was not impacted, which could have required shoulder replacement surgery. Everything is looking better around here. :cheer2:

 Glad she is healing!

Pins, rods, and slings, I guess that's why she didn't answer my call this morning.
