Update on Judy. Not much change. She is still in a lot of pain following surgery. Today they were trying to wean her off the IV stuff and just give pills. But as of 6 p.m. they were giving both, in and alternating pattern. She is hoping to be able to break out tomorrow. Her daughter will be here late this evening for a few days and that will be a big help, physically and mentally. I can't thank the DISers and others around the Fort enough for the concern you have shown in the past week. Happy New Years to all!

I have been thinking about you and your family since I got home. I hope she is feeling better and the kids get to see her back to normal soon. I drove by a few times but missed you. I was looking for a dis sign with your dis name. I found out from Amanda that you have your real last name on it.

As a result of all your concerns and prayers Judy is back at the Fort! She got back this afternoon thanks to the volunteer van service by Mary Ann Miller and daughter Shannon. We also want to thank those who brought food so Shawnee and I wouldn't starve (the girls are fed by feeding tube, so they had their own supplies).

I think we have weathered the worst of the storm, and things are looking up. Of course Judy still has a long road of mending and rehab to go through. Her daughter and two grandchildren are here and will help us pack up the end of the week. Those who have seen our gaudy display know how much work that will be. Thanks again to all for your support.
