Skip HS for 2 days at MK?

We spent all day at HS last year w/ our three 8 year olds, and we didn't even ride ToT and I rode RnRR solo rider. We did multiple things multiple times, like TSMM and Star Tours.

With a 12 and a 13 yo I think it that's a tough call on skipping since those are arguably two of the best rides in all of WDW and you also have Fantasmic, which is the best nighttime show at WDW. Star Wars Launch Bay is also great for star wars fans.

Splitting up on that day does kind of seem like the ideal choice if you're able to swing it that way.

These are the very reasons I MUST always buy parkhoppers. HS is a half day park to me.
Maybe after June 30 that will change.
If not purchasing parkhoppers I would choose 2 days MK also.

get the park hoppers. Plan a morning at all 4 parks......break at the resort to relax mid day......go to a new resort that night.

each disney park is different in the morning and evening. both should be experienced on a trip.

Thanks all! This is such a hard decision! RnR & ToT are 2 of my favorites for sure and I love Sci-Fi Diner. I guess I'm more concerned about DS4 and Grandma having enough to do. Maybe I just need to convince Grandma and my sister that we need hoppers!

I do think MK needs 2 days, especially with your 4 year old. But some of my DS14's favorite rides are at DHS (TOT and RnRC). I also really love the laid back atmosphere in DHS -- the Citizens of Hollywood are some of my favorite entertainment in WDW. We aren't Star Wars fans so yeah, it's not a full-day park for us as much as I love it. I like the idea posted above to split the party, teens go to DHS, you & son go to MK or some variation of that. Or do hoppers. Part of the day in DHS and part in MK.

I wouldn't skip HS on someone's first trip to WDW. There are too many icons there to pass up.

If you think the kids would like ToT and RnR I would go to DS. We've never done either as my kids refused (well, I have been on ToT but didn't care for it) and likely will refuse again on our next trip. Without those two rides there is very, very little to do at DS. So I would spend another day at MK or AK. But hoppers would be best.
