Skiing in NC

I have to come to NC for a wedding in Feb. I want to extend my vacation and go to the mountains. My parents want to go. they are not in the best of health and will only go if they can take their dog. My dd and dh want to ski. Any suggestions on a comfy place to stay that will accept dogs, close to skiing (preferrably on site), tubing, and is comfy for Mom and Dad to spend all day in with a hot tub? I know, I know!!!! Asking for way too much. And by the way, can you make it affordable?

What city are you wanting to be close to? Are you looking more at the Asheville or the Boone area or another area?

Actually don't really care. Whereever there is a nice place. My parents live in Statesville (just north of Charlotte) so we can go anywhere.

Here is some info on hotels in Boone. The High Country Inn has always looked like a great place to stay to me anyway.

There are 4 ski places close to Boone.
