Skiiing and soccer.. who knew they were similar?

DD is off on her first ski trip. She went from a "level 1" which I am guessing is a dead beginner to a "level 3" in her first lesson. She called us up all excited.
She told us the instructor said to her "you play soccer don't you".
He went on to say that kids who play soccer usually do very well in ski school because a lot of the "moves" are very similar.
I never would have thought of that.....

wonder if this is why kaitlynn and zachary do well at the ski resort too.....they are on snowboards this time.......although kaitlynn had a wee accident and is on hold for three weeks........hope she enjoys it....

Hmmm, what do you know? I always compared skiing to skating, but I never would have thought soccer.
