I LOVE my Shape us sneakers. I don't use them to "shape up" but they work wonders for my plantar fasciitis and lower back problems. However, looking forward to the summer, and our upcoming trip to WDW, I'm thinking of getting the Shape Up Sandals.

Has anyone used them?
Do they compare to the sneaker?
Would you walk around all day at WDW with them? (I'm thinking this will be my only WDW shoe because of the plantar F. issue. I don't want my feet to kill me while we're there).
Any good deals online for the sandals?

I loved the Therasandals that Kmart sold for the same reason. They helped my feet so much I wore them as slippers in the house. If you can find them they are around $15 so they are a good on to try.

Last summer, I bought the ones that sell at Payless Shoes. Are those the Sketchers brand? Anyway, whatever brand they were, they were awful! I ended up taking them back to the store.

I also have the Thera sandals from Sears/K-Mart and they are amazing! I wore them several days during my Disney trip, but I wished they had them in more colors/styles so I could have worn some every day. I got mine for $10 on a great sale, but after wearing them, I'd have paid MUCH more. :lovestruc

I saw the Sketchers sandals at TJ Maxx for $29.99, not sure what they usually sell for.

I have the Fit Flops which are like the Sketchers, and they were the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn to Disney. They were a little pricey I think around $50, but they are worth it to me...I bought them last year and they've lasted I'm still wearing them and they haven't worn out at all.

I got the sketchers shape ups last year and wore them all day at WDW. I was going to swap up daily and wear them 1 day and wear my tennis shoes the next. Well after wearing my tennis shoes the 2nd day and my feet killing me I ended up wearing my sketcher shape ups the rest of the week. I also have lower back pain and also a spur between my middle and next to last toe and wearing enclosed shoes puts pressure on it and ends up very painful. The rest of the week wearing my shape ups all day was awsome not 1 pain what-so-ever. I am planning on getting me some more this year.

I have the Skechers sandals. They are more comfortable than regular sandals for me but not as great as My Shape Up tennis shoes. The sole of the sandals are not as "cushy". I too have back problems and plantar fascitis (had surgery last Dec). I have been trying different shoes to find something as comfy for our upcoming WDW trip. So far, nothing feels as good. I too would love something cooler for my feet. The sandals are "okay" and might work for you. They are almost as good as the tennies but not quite.

I want to check out the sandals as well. The sketchers are the only things that my feet don't hurt in. FYI - I saw the shape-up sneakers at Costco for $49.99.

I wore my Sketches flip flops all week last spring at Disney/Sea World. I hate tennis shoes and they worked out great! The hardest part was explaining to my girls why only mom was allowed to wear flip flops. I got them at Kohls when they had the 30% off(I think there is one starting soon)

i have fit flops, which came before shape-ups.
LOVE 'em:lovestruc
i've heard from quite a few ppl who said the SUps were not as comfy all day as the FFs - try both on to see which is best for you. btw, tevas are also really comfy, and a nice change of pace.

Question for those of you with plantar fascitis & lower back pain who wear the Sketcher Shape-ups tennies:
Do you wear them with or without orthotics? I also have pronation. Will the SU's help that?

Thanks!
Nan

I don't wear any orthotics with the sketchers. Just putting them on makes my feet feel better. I wear the tennis shoes everywhere. I suggest trying them on. As soon as I put these on in the store I knew they would work.

Are you using Sketchers Shape Ups or Tone Ups??

Two Different Animals.

The Sketchers Tone Ups are what work wonders for my PF. I had the clogs that I worked in all winter, and I'm having a hard time with them being warm now because they have fur on them... and it's April :rotfl2:

I have 3 pair of the Tone Up flip flops which are what I live in for the summer and for all my Disney Trips. Make sure you break them in at least twice before going!!

I have the Sketcher sandals and find they give the calves a better work out. They are comfortable. Not necessarily the cutest but I am more into comfortable over beauty.

I got the sandals last summer and wore them out. I will be getting a new pair this summer.

I prefer the sandals to the sneakers, maybe because I had the sandals first.

I think my legs look better after wearing them for a few weeks too :thumbsup2

I have the Skechers Tone Ups flip flops. Got them at Kohl's last summer and I love them! I want to get a pair of the Therasandals at KMart, but I keep forgetting to go look.

My feet and tennis shoes don't work well, so I've never been able to try the Shape Ups shoes.

I have suffered with PF for several years now, currently in 'remission' - can't wear my Disney fit-flops for very long - love any sandal made by Merrell. Worth every penny. Anything by Skechers hurts my heels.
